Strength measure are a confusing thing as even if the Orangutan has some higher numbers lets say in the hands, and they could even have some upper body power that rival the gorilla in some test, mostly isometric and eccentric or slow movements Strengths. It would likely be because the "use it or lose it for muscles strength" if you climb in trees all day, then its just like athletic training the Orangutan is fit for trees, but also becomes fit when moving in the trees. Like you can see some pro climbers being 70 kg lift the same as a person at 120 kg doing bodybuilding and other strength sports lift the same with there back muscles. A 70 kg person can beat a 120 kg person if he is a good fighter, but if any human could sustain the damage like a Gorilla and do a fast explosive movement and then throw its own body at the opponent. Then its like the heavier the better, so suddenly its power with mass. On the other site a Orangutan is just clumsy, so it can die to anything that can move fast. It would be a sad thing to see happen.
I wanted to see some points being made about the outcome if both animals are in weight parity. Instead we only got obvious stats and statements about the apes of the regular sizes.
Orangutans are much less comfortable on the ground than gorillas. Gorillas should on paper take the fight pretty much every time as I really struggle to think of an advantage the orangutan has here.
That's just normal orangutan not alpha male but even if gorilla are bit stronger doesn't mean he can win because orangutan are smarter and have better batle iq or technique
