i think its interesting that every interaction between russel and 2d in the videos is negative but in the lore theyre actually best friends

This entire phase/album is Murdoc and the team creating a cult in search for a "paradise" called "cracker island". so at their new hub they all have their parts in the cult .. most notably, Russel is like the "finder" so he's watching a "static channel" that is said to have hidden messages and clues to where Cracker Island is and he's watched it so much he's pretty much gone brain dead.... but in short, they move in next door to ANOTHER cult, Murdoc develops a crush on their leader, 2D goes over a lot and makes friends with them and they offer him a special tea (drugged) and then he goes missing. The neighbor cult needs to perform a sacrifice every couple of years for them to stay young and chose 2D this time (enter Silent Running music video) and then right after that music video is Cracker Islands one.

I've waiting for this-

you should go about watching the commentary versions (all commentated by Murdoc). He just talks about the music videos, pretty funny but expect weirdness (it is Murdoc after all)
