+Peter Emmons Hi Peter, yes, my father Major Patrick Rance ran Wells Stores and I and six siblings grew up in the house attached to the shop and helped out in the shop on Saturdays. My brother Hugh took over Wells Stores after my father retired. We all went to Streatley Primary School as children.
Hi Jamie I thought I recognised the name - I was in Kate's class at school and remember buying sweets from your Dad on the way to the morrel rooms for badminton lessons. I live in Suffolk now but my sister and brothers still live locally. Please say hi to Kate for me.

Your memory of buying sweets from my dad on your way to badminton took me right back there. For me Streatley was a great village to grow up in. Hope it was for you too. I live in South Wales now - but my roots are firmly in those chalky hills and the river Thames.
