GORUCK Waxed Canvas Kit Bag 2.0? NOT a HERITAGE Bag? 🤔 What's the difference? 

Interesting. I've had good luck with everything.

The problem is GoRuck does not make any of their own stuff, it's contract work. A while back a lot of messed up stitching came out and it was from a specific factory that was quickly fired and replaced. The issues have been almost exclusively state-side. I believe at the moment all the kit bags but the Heritage are made in Vietnam but could be wrong.

I posted a photo on Instagram...but the answer is "not really". I have a Triple Aught Design Transport Sleeve for my MBP and it doesn't 'really' fit. Could I maybe work it a bit and get it in there? Maybe, but it isn't coming out very easily. Just a bit too big for that pocket. Hope this helps.

Makes sense. They rarely carry the larger sizes in cordura so can’t see them doing waxed canvas anytime soon. But ya never know

I just completed a four way duffle shootout consisting of two 1000d bags (armor gray and ranger green), this waxed canvas olive green bag, and the new D-Day heritage model and the waxed canvas version in this video won. My reasons: I’m not a big fan of the blazing orange interior on the 1000d bags or the D-day model, it even seems tacky on their heritage ones, really wish they used Coyote instead. This waxed version has black pockets and even a waxed canvas olive interior pocket over orange mesh on the D-Day. The strap: this bag has a different strap and it’s better- the padding is thicker and longer and it also has TWO adjustable buckles one on each side of the pad so you can totally customize the strap and lock that pad into place, as opposed to one buckle on the other three. I really liked the armor gray but when I opened the bag the orange bugged me. I really wanted to like the D-Day, but the orange again was a no-go and the leather for some reason felt a little cheaper than my dark oak 26L heritage, but I don’t know- it’s an older and well-loved bag so it might just be new leather. Anyway, this bag was the same price as the D-Day at $195 which seemed not great considering it has no leather but the bonuses to me made it the winner. Thanks for this video!

according to my scale the waxed canvas 2.0 version weighs 2.45 lbs. The 1000D 2.0 Kit Bag weighs 2.15 lbs

Yeah, that’s the reality of the move to this one unfortunately. I feel your pain! 🤦🏼‍♂️ And hoping they make more colors for sure. This feels like an experiment though

@@JBOutside1 I’m all for making the kit bag more affordable and accessible to others. Honestly… I really want them to update the heritage field tan or oak with the leather accents of my Heritage woodland camo one.

I’m kind of an x pac junkie right now. I bought the Huckberry/peak design duffel and it’s ok, but I prefer the layout of my kit bags.

I have been torn between the new Goruck waxed canvas kit bag 2.0 and the Evergoods transit duffel 35L. Do you have any suggestions/recommendations on which would be the way to go?

Cheaper for the consumers and higher profit for the seller. Might as well buy a Chinese bag for 20 bucks.

Regardless of my love of supporting American, USA manufacturing can't touch what is coming out of Vietnam or Taiwan right now. They are both the kings of bag manufacturing. We just don't have the skill and infrastructure they do, period. GoRuck has had to switch USA contractors on several occasions due to shotty craftsmanship.
