I have Michael Jordan in which pulled from a pack in 1992 at card show . I was going buy them while I was there . Walked up to booth they were selling them for $55 a piece so I bought two . I was actually going to keep them seal because I knew potentially what could be in these packs. Well, as I was walking around with these packs I could not contain my self so about 10 min. later I decided to open them. So i started opening not sure if it was the first or second pack but there it was right before me I was totally blow away the one card and only card I wanted was there. So I went back in to the booth to show the guy and he was so mad because of all the packs he open he hasn't pulled one ( so he said) He give me an offer of $ 200.00 cash of course I said no way , He kind of respected that so he put it in a $10 plastic case for me and sent me on my way . Oh he didn't even charge me for the case, I have it for 28 years never been out of case and stays in a dark cool spot in bubble wrap . I haven't had graded yet but being slight off center I think I got a 9.5 Gem Mint.

Hi! i have the same card and debating wether to drive 2h to grade it in PSA or to ship it. any tips? i find it hard to find answers and tips around the grading process but from what i understood the shipping required insurance, which i need to set the value to insured based on how much i think this PSA card is, and i have no idea... happy to get some champ tips!
Just curious where everybody is all of a sudden getting these cards. Every since the Last Dance, there have been people opening packs and showing MJ RC all over youtube and Instagram. Only a few fake card videos. This thing was considered the Holy Grail of sports cards. Now they're everywhere.
@@tubenachos And they can go down too just as fast. Also keep in mind that online prices don't mean much. I can put a pencil for sale for 100k, doesn't mean it's worth 100,000. In order to get real prices, you need to see what other cards like it have recently sold for. A beckett 7 sold for 10,500 recently. Beckett 7 is like a PSA 7.5 or even 8 sometimes. Beckett is stricter on grading, industry known fact.
never use gloves to handle valuable cards. unless your hands are dirty and havnt been washed for a few days, its much safer to handle cards/books/ect...WITHOUT gloves. Gloves make it where you cant feel whatever you are handling and also can cause you to use more pressure holding an item. If you wash and dry your hands prior to handling, there is no oil transfer or anything.
sweet i have an extensive collection of jordan cards alot of rare no fleer rolkie but i have 2 of his 1st ever licensed rookie cards they are 5x7 blue border star court kings they are gonna explode in value since when Jordan was drafted star was the only license card company making NBA cards every other company had walked away from bball UNTIL jordan etc were drafted and had played a season almost 2 seasons then they started back NBA card making then thafs when the Jordan ""rookie"" fleer 86 was printed but to me its beautiful but there is so many misconceptions of this card and the actual rareness is not there the big companies always print- printed 1million cards of each card but Star necer went over 10k pri t runs msking them super rare in the end and the only TRUE Jordan rookie CARDS but i still like the fleer personally but the star is so much more bigger than life in yoyr hands and feels right !!! alright brother peace - congrats!!

Check out Connecticut I found one about 10 years ago I still got it same case in a screwdown case just like yours I haven't gotten it graded but my friend of mine owns a sports shop in CT called about sports old school shop oldest around they looked at my find and said yup 😂 omg best day of my life only w ever on a sneaker deal

Sorry, I still don't get the "special appeal" of this Jordan rookie card. I honestly wouldn't pay more than $50 for this thing, seriously. Its just a stupid card, with a photo of Jordan dunking on it, wow I haven't seen that before lol (sarcasm)
