SM instrumental is just on another level. As a person who is interested & currently studying in producing, one thing that i can say and has been observing over the last couple of song releases they've done is that their instrumental/sound is fresh & engaging if that makes sense. There's just something about it that makes me wanna comeback and hear it again, and usually with this type of song is that the first hear is gonna be rough and weird, but after that i suddenly like the song eventhough i find it weird at first listen.

It sounds so apocalyptic in the best fucking way, but weirdly beautiful with orchestra. It kinda reminds me of that tiktok audio "masquerade" somehow? Like creepy and chaotic/circus-y but still fucking fire

I think that without the ominous choir and strings in the instrumental, this song would blend right in with your "regular girl crush concept" (which I still love), but it's these creepy sounds that elevate the song to a whole new unique level. Honestly, that part of the instrumental makes the song feel kind of deranged, like it actually SCARES you. When you pair it with the girls' vocals, it does a good job of selling the vibe. Not exactly the biggest fan of the lyrics, but the instrumental is what keeps me repeating this song :3

Man, you REALLY don't realize how creepy the background track on this is until you listen to it isolated. I cannot believe they managed to make a song with such complex vocals that so heavily features such a dissonant sample in the bassline.
