Oh man, and the build-up of the background music was just complementing the visuals~ No joke, man... I got teary-eyed... Really, the main reason why Jackson became my bias was because of this. Well, yeah, talent and personality-wise, you're bound to fall for him, but finding out about how he gave up something so big (something you've been doing for most of your life) and pursuing something else just defined a new level of respect. I mean, I'm not even sure how crazy the situation was when he told his parents he wants to have a music career. It's like he was already set in this path (fencing) and he's already good and famous at it and suddenly, an opportunity to be a rapper appeared but he'll be back to square one. Like we all have a vague picture on how difficult it is to be a trainee and a foreigner at that. I hope the time comes when he can do both though, but for now, I'm happy that every time he performs, he really looks like he's doing the thing he loves... your words really pretty :) I understand you. he must had a hard time during trainee for 1 1/2 years but, knowing he is an idol and ex athlete, makes me love him more and more. never see any idol who feels the music and express wildly with their movement dance like him. like seriously, Never!! So hard decision, I'm sure it wasn't so easy for him at first but if now he's doing what he loves the most, for sure he'll always put a lot of effort in everything and success. I wish him the best, always.

Im glad that his members have always there for him for the past 3 years. For eg during interviews, whenever the hosts asked Jackson about his fencing career, you can see that he didnt want to talk about it and see his members patting him at the back.
its funny to see jackson in got7 now knowing he is one of the youth participant in singapore for yog in 2010. i mean like who could have known this fencing guy in 2010 is gonna be a kpop artist 4 years later...its weird in a amazing way...darn.

i really like this video and am happy that jackson debuted with got7 but also kinda feel sad at the same time. like leaving such a big part of his life back and going to korea must've been a hard decision cuz he's been preparing for Olympic. This was so well made!! even though he isnt my bias, i have so much respect for him for doing something that not many ppl would be able to do. i teared up by the end of it and i have a new found appreciation for everything he has done to get to where he is today. Thanks for putting together and sharing such a great video :) I really respect Jackson for striving so hard for his dreams. I can't even fathom how difficult it must have been for him to give up fencing which was his life at the time, and pursue a music career where he has to start from scratch :/ I am so glad to see that his family supports him though! His father coming to support him was very touching, especially considering the fact that he was an ex fencer, and he must have been the one most disappointed at Jackson for giving it up. I have loads of respect for Jackson and his family! JACKSON FIGHTING! :D or I should say JIAYOU!

Thx for making this video..his story is really touching... I really appreciate him for having the courage to try something new and gave up fencing which he had been playing for a long time.....It's a pity that he gave up fencing because he was really good at it...But it's also good seeing he getting more fame and became a super star who is loved by I got7. Idk why but something tells me that Jacksons heart goes to fencing. Although he wants to try being an idol I think he'll continue fencing afterwards. Seems like his bigger dream that's harder to achieve. Could be wrong though.
