PSA: black eyeliner works as a lip liner for black lipstick

I’m a goth person,but I’m still in middle school and nobody else wears heavy makeup,I do my normal makeup routine,then put on gray eyeshadow and no lipstick and some mascara,but on the weekends,i go all out 😂

I have a tip for people with hooded eyelids for this!! Darken your crease! It makes the eyeliner rubbing into it less visible! Hope it helps :p

Absolutely brilliant! As a 14 y/o girl who is getting into the Gothic culture (Thanks to my mother), this has helped me a lot! I have been looking at quite a few tutorials and a lot of them go extreme when the video was meant to be for beginners. But this has helped me a lot considering i'm still 14 and I don't want to go the full way (Yet). Again, thank you so much! Defiantly a new subscriber! Edit: Also! I like how you suggested cheaper yet good quality makeup for those who are wanting to go into a Gothic turn, but don't have the money to buy expensive makeup/brushes.

That was the smoothest I've ever seen lipstick applied! I'm too flinchy with eyes, but I'm trying to learn more about makeup.

I've been in the gothic subculture for a few years now, but I'm absolutely terrible at makeup so this is great for me!

Loved this tutorial so much! I despise doing winged liner and tons of different eyeshadow shades, so it was really nice to see someone stick to the basics and make it look so well done 🖤✨

It baffles me how people can do their liquid lipstick so perfectly with just the doefoot applicator! Mine just turns out wobbly and messy, and I struggle to follow my lip shape accurately (often ending up with the corners "too think" instead of pointy like < > and my bottom lip is a real struggle too) so when I use liquid lipstick I start off by using a brush to outline and then fill in the rest directly with the applicator.

Perfect tutorial. And nice advice too. I would have thanked this last year when I went darker in my life.

I really appreciate this because I am visually impaired, and can not see well enough to do anything too fancy or intricate. Sometimes I feel like the makeup I wear doesn't reflect my 'Gothiness' well enough, so this should help! 🖤

This was a very nice video to do! It is really good especially for beginners but also works well for people who may be more experienced with goth makeup who need to "tone down" or make their look more, I don't know, easy to digest- for certain audiences? Sometimes one doesn't wish to spend 20 minutes or more on elaborate makeup but still want a dark look or to pull off the black lipstick without it looking overdone or out of place. :)

Well done. The black lipstick is a very effective compliment because it balances out the work around the eyes and also just gives your mouth an amazing pop

Black eyeliner used as eyeshadow can be lightly topped with face/baby powder to make it matte and also used as lipstick with same method.

I always wanted to wear goth makeup. Well I turn 31 this year and I've decided that I'm now to old to be afraid of doing what I want. I've done black and other dark lipstick for years but have never attempted anything else more complicated than mascara. Thanks for this video, I'm going to be giving it a try.

I literally do the exact same makeup routine. Eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner and black lipstick. That’s for everyday at least. Growing up as a baby bat taught me that less is more!

I've always loved goth culture and only now I'm getting into wearing makeup to express that again I've never been a fan of any makeup just really natural looks but this has def helped and I'm 22 so that says a lot lol⚰️💕

thank you for this tutorial, I don't wear make up often but I have a fancy dress party on Friday and im going in my gothic Halloween costume I bought last year, and im using this tutorial to help me look more gothic. only thing I will change is the black lipstick for red as my dress is red and black, but the eye shadow is brilliant and will defiantly. :)

I wish I had tutorials like this in my baby bat era at 13. I think we all looked pretty ratchet in that stage since we didn't grow up with RU-vidrs. I looked a hot mess! Black unbounded shadow EVERYWHERE. Unblended, uneven and looking like a crackhead racoon. This is such a beautiful look without being over the top. As a baby bat I thought i had to pack on as much black as possible. Had to learn the hard way a little goes a long way when it comes to just starting out.

Nyx and MUA both do really affordable (MUA is only £3) black liquid lipstick and are both cruelty free :)

For a cheaper matte liquid lipstick, I use the nyx liquid suede in alien. It's like £6 from boots x

I am not at all a goth nor makeup wearing person, but I have to show up to school in a goth theme (highschool). I only have a black/grey sparkly liquid eyeliner (it also says it's eyeshadow), that my mom got me for christmas this year, and whenever I try to use it or experiment with it, I just stare at it and cry. But after watching this video, I think I'm ready to give it one more shot!

I would draw my self whith a skull hair clip and black purple hair, I dont really like my old style but since I got black lipstick I finally got the chance! I'm 13 and when I put the makeup it looked great, my bro didnt like the lipstick but when I tried this he said I looked really nice! I dont care what my dad says ima wear this to school

okay, maybe a little different, but I'm turning 52 this month... going to death metal show with my son, 27. I raised this kind child with hippie music and this is how is goes? Anastasia has a matte black lipstick in traditional stick form (not liquid) that is FANTASTIC. It’s inky black and stays on without getting super dry like a liquid lipstick, and it doesn’t get crusty when reapplying. The shade is “Midnight”.
