Detectives Gordon and Bullock from Homicide Squad are assigned to investigate the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne.That's where Jim Gordon meets Bruce Wayne, their son and the only survivor to witness this horrible crime.Jim Gordon then promises to Bruce that he will find the person responsible and make them pay.
FUN FACT: In this incarnation of Alfred Pennyworth, he is a "tough-as-nails" war veteran, as one can deduce at the final moments of this clip.He tells Bruce, among other things,"Don't look", "Head up" , "Don't let them see you cry".Alfred has a similar backstory in the "Batman:Earth One" comics.
