Funny thing about Bruce Wayne talking about how bad the rich are is that he is easily the richest man in the dc universe. You pick 5 of the richest people in Gotham, if not the country, and their combined wealth wouldn't be close to what Bruce has. The only other person who could rival him would be Lex Luthor.

They did red hood dirty. He was so amazing in under the red hood and arkham knights. The red hood in this game feels like he belongs in the saints row reboot.

The problem with games like this is that the dev's bosses look at the market and think a series needs to change in order to keep making money. Sadly they don't realize that if people like what they always got, there's no need to change it.

I went to a private launch of the game in the park row London restaurant and instead of inviting gamers and fans, all the "influencers" bought up the tickets and didn't know/care jack about the game or batmanverse. This saddened me😅

Sad to see Red Hood done this badly. Death in the Family is one of the greatest DC Red Hood movies ever. Seeing Joker become normal after Batman’s death realizing he’s got no reason to be Joker anymore. Until Red Hood (dressed normally not as his costume) sits next to him, hears his Joke about the 2 escaped convicts using a flashlight to cross a gap Red Hood says “I’ll tell the big man you said hello.” Joker giving off an ungodly creepy smile saying “Boy Wonder.” Then getting stabbed in the eye by Red Hood, his face paint and hear turning back into his normal colours with the coffee washing some of it off as he laughs for the first time since he fought Batman, dying. The true Red Hood kills while the fake Red Hood talks about his anger issues. In Under the Red Hood, Red Hood had every right to be angry, thinking that since he was close to Batman that Joker killing him, Batman would make an exception and kill Joker, realizing that the Joker is never going to stop killing until he’s dead but rather than prevent other from being murdered by Joker he keeps to his code of no killing. Red Hood saying one of the best lines of dialogue I’ve seen in a DC show “Is that what you think this is about? You letting me die? I don’t know what cloud your judgement worse, your guilt or your antiquated sense of morality. Bruce I forgive you for not saving me. But why, why on God’s earth is he still alive”

When you look up the lead writer for Gotham Knights, it all starts to make sense.

How can they regress from the combat masterpiece RockSteady made in the Arkham series? What a timeline we live in...

That ending is so relatable.

My personal biggest issue with the game, as a humongous fan of the Arkham games, is that it isn't the same storyline. I don't have a problem with it being a different story, but it being very clear would be nice. If it was a part of the Arkham storyline, then it could just be considered the worst in the series but it isn't and the gameplay is much, much worse than a game that came out 7 fucking years before it (Batman Arkham Knight) and this is the studio made Batman Arkham Origins, and it was pretty good so you would think they would have an idea of what Gotham Knights should imitate and build upon. But no, we have a game with my only hope left being a good story, and they fucked up on that too, and THEY FUCKING MADE ARKHAM ORIGINS! Just for context, insomniac, who made ratchet and clank (the reboot was pretty bad), and Spyro, who had no experience with superhero games of this type, fucking nailed it pretty well for a first attempt (I still won't forgive them for the remastered edition peter parker), because they had a pretty fucking good idea what makes a good superhero game while making it unique, and someone who did it before SOMEHOW FUCKED IT UP?! Insomniac did it again with miles morales and still didn't fuck it up this badly. My heart literally hurts to see such an amazing game ip fall so hard.

Bruce giving speeches about how you the rich always want more, despite being part of that catagory that you dont stay in generally unless you're really part of not just A; You're part of that rich camp, but B; you're likely doing some of the same things to STAY there in the world as we know it. But hey on that B part, can say it's a world different where you don't need to do or be all that to stay rich but... Yeah, that's gonna be a hard one to really try and hold onto. Reality is, real life has become just about as twisted, if not more so, than many of the comics. Another fun review that strikes truer than much out there. Quickly becoming a deeper fan of the channel. Right now this and Civvie 11 are my top picks along with RGT 85. True strikers of the reality while injecting a universe of altered reality we need to ponder to survive it.

You didn't even go that in-depth into how bad the combat truly is, which is by far the most offensive thing about the game to me in addition to just basic movement actions, so, let me just add some more details: 1: The game takes control away from the player arbitrary for doing seemingly innocuous actions like after doing a special move you briefly can't attack or dodge for a few seconds. 2: Simply turning your character in the direction you want to face comes with an egregiously noticeable animation delay that locks you out of any other actions. 3: Sometimes inputs just won't register at all until you press the button for a second or even third time, even though your character is CLEARLY back in a neutral (0) position. This is incredibly baffling considering this game has an input queue system, so the game is literally just dropping inputs out of nowhere sometimes. I often have this happen with batgirl's beat-down special where she'll just stop attacking even though I'm still mashing the X button. 4: I heard they fixed it on console recently but the problem of dropping down from a perch just to have the game fling you half way across the map is still very prevalent on PC. This completely fucks over the stealth gameplay even more. 5: There's no cancelling at all outside of dodge-canceling. 6: Your dodge has no I-frames at all, which means you're completely at the mercy of attacks with horrendously bad hit-boxes at times and melee attacks that come at you out of nowhere from off-screen because they put WAY too much tracking and vortex on them, which looks absolutely goofy. A godmother's spinning attack literally teleports her half a mile to your position. 7: indicators for enemies preparing to shoot you from off-screen often blend into the environment, making them hard to see and react to sometimes. 8: The auto-targeting sometimes has a mind of its own. You could be pressing the stick in one direction and your character will still choose to attack an enemy in the opposite direction. And you need to direct your character as much as possible unless you want to be attacking the air because an animation left your character standing with their BACK TOWARDS the enemy. Simply pressing an attack button won't turn them around. And I could go on, but I'll stop there. The most sluggish, unresponsive, stiff and needlessly restrictive combat I've possibly ever played with. Incredibly undercooked, just like the rest of the game, to a mediocre degree.

Had a feeling it would be this way since they announced it as a “co-op adventure”, which is somehow now code for “arbitrary numbers over enemies heads” and all the other dumbass free to play model monetization mechanics. (See Wolfenstein Youngblood, Far Cry New Dawn, etc)

Any enthusiasm I had for playing as Red Hood went out the window when I realized that the psychotic killer from Arkham Knight had been turned into a member of the Scooby Gang.

Now the studio were gonna make a Damien Wayne game that was gonna continue from Knight but WB canned it.

A lot of this is pretty on point. After waiting so long I was expecting it to at least be as well presented as the last game. It wasn't. It feels like something that would have been a lot more interesting with an original character or possibly even a character you create. Attaching the Batman Arkham name to it in any way really really didn't help it at all.

So Saints Row is worse than Gotham Knights? Geez... Didn't play any of those, but I must say i'm surprised. Btw saying Arkham Knight is "good" is an insult. Arkham Origins is good. Arkham Knight is a masterpiece, even if 11% of it is mandatory Batmobile.

Wow, this game is truly a complete and utterly mess. Insane how bad it actually is. On so many levels. When you test the game, long before release, it would be obvious that this game is nowhere ready to be released. It need 1 more year, at least. Graphics, story, gameplay, bloody horrible.

Games like this are why I'm not wasting my money on next-gen consoles. I have 200+ PS4 games that are not broken and bland slogfests.

I did enjoy the scenes with Alfred fortunately, but the rest of the dialogue, glitches in cutscenes or Bruce dancing in his underwear at the Iceberg Lounge was odd.

When a Batman game makes you feel like you are not playing as Batman... (Or in this case a member of the bat Family.)

My brother asked me to play this with him. (Thank god for gamepass so i didnt spend any money on this game), And i hated that there were glimpses of a actually great game here. The 4 players might have actually had different play styles (they dont), solve crimes differently (they don't), and fight all together (they dont. Oniy 2 player for story mode). But like, the hint of it being there was so disappointing
