Damn this run is everything what i love about gothic 2 - glitches and bugs are more likely a feature than flaws!

I find it hilarious that you managed to finish the Expansion faster than the Classic game :) It shows you've improved some things along the way to make this happen (one major factor might as well be the black ore glitch, an item not present in the classic version), along with choosing this order of actions to make the run as efficient as possible. On another note, unlike many other speedrunners, you also try to mention (as much as possible) the tricks you used & what they do. From my perspective, that’s admirable. But, I have some questions though: 1. The sheep trick was pretty neat, but makes me wonder: why in your “Classic” run you’ve done the same thing guildless, but in “NotR” you had to use this strategy? Was it because the addon allowed you to join the Militia by destroying the Thieves’ Guild (feature of which you took advantage of early in the game), thus having you find a solution about it to avoid the extra quest? 2. In the “Classic” run, when you went to recover the repaired “Eye of Innos”, did you perform the same save/load trick as in “NotR”, but didn’t show up in the video due to your mention in the description? [“The video would not show all the action since some of it would be hidden behind the loading screen.”] To me, it just looked like a video cut. 3. If possible, can you explain me how does the portal work for you after clipping through the closed gate? You told me on your “Classic” speedrun that it was possible without the rings, and as we can all see - it’s working. I remember trying this like quite some years ago, but using the cheat code, to see what it happens (I think you could teleport behind walls/doors by pressing ‘k’) & for me it was a black corridor there, no portal. What triggers the opening of the portal behind that gate? 4. And as a fun fact, it seems you’ve also chosen another strategy (as a form of speaking, since you’ve still used the save/load on purpose in both runs) for talking to Torlof at the end as well, as you killed those two orcs this time. Is it because you prayed to that darn Beliar that made you so much more violent towards his creatures? :) PS: 4:02 - 4:06 gets me every time. How the heck does that ‘wall clipping’ teleport you up?! All in all, congratulations on your feat!

Die Zeit müsste ab Kapitel 5 eigentlich in -1:29:00 angegeben sein, weil -1:29 wären Ja nur eine Sekunde und 29 Hundertstel (so wie bei Valley of Mines). Sonst sehr schönes Video, hat viele Erinnerungen geweckt :)

Awesome job. Awesome game. I looked at it and remembered the time when people really did games because they loved to do games. Now it is only about money. No game better then Gothic II. Its masterpiece.

Das geht über 3 Tage und dort zocken halt viele verschiedene Speedrunner ihre Games und sammeln dort Spenden für einen guten Zweck :D Dieser Jahr wars die deutsche Krebshilfe. Ich hab dort leider Gothic Speedruns vermisst :( Kannst es dir ja überlegen :D

I think I can make a few useless marks which might save only a few seconds(nevermind, just one thing). A played the game a bit forever ago and more recently I've played it for 217 hours in steam, I was playing as a mage and still haven't finished the damn game. No, I wasn't starting over and I even avoided the bugs which fuck up the game. I just wanted to see everything and hear every line from every char as a mage or whatever. Anyway... When you first met Diego in the valley, I thought you gonna go infront of him so you don't have to wait for the animation of him standing up. Also, the invincibility flag on the firedragon? Like, you're not supposed to kill him when you don't have the amulet of innos or whatever?

I love Gothic 1 and 2 for their immersive atmosphere and the intelligent enemy placing to give some kind of natural borders in its world. Kai Rosenkranz simply delivered on his part. The combat system is responsible for the best and worst parts of the games :D the better u can exploit it the further u mastered it. The world just invites u to explore it and manages to always reward you for doing so even if it is "just" another shroom u find by accident. This run through just delivers by showing us a lot if not all of the different techniques to abuse the combat/aggro system and dialogue events etc all in all a realy decent video :)

Wait i never seee the ending footage at the end or irdorath 😱😱😱😱😱😱 i finish this game multiple time and never see that video onlyy fuuuck i have to play this again

You can get from Harinis to 6 chapter on ship if you use gliches

Does anyone know how to make screenshots in Gothic2(without the Copy+Paste into Paint thingy). Something in settings or .ini file to enable Print Screen which would automatically save the screenshots into Gothic 2 directory or something?
