A very quick video about the origins of the Goths and their unique relationship with the Roman Empire. Specifically the lead up to the disaster at Adrianople. ENJOY!
Almost all of this is drawn from Ammianus Marcellinus' History Book 31. Sorry i didn't bother putting primaries in the video.

The way he just casually says “the goths murder a couple of legions” is scary, but then again when the Roman’s loose tens of thousands of men they just fucking materialize two times more then what they lost out of nowhere

This is so packed and head spinning I'm breaking it two. If I cram too much info into my head, I risk a brain-splosion: The corrupt officials ripping off the starving Goths got me to the threshold.
