Although our wool isn’t on pallets it in big bags we drop in grain trailer from a little height and take to where we sell it, and I would say it’s more realistic to drop in trailer than to cart on forks down the road
a passageway in a barn is usually a Aisle - A designated lengthwise area within a building, typically observed in Dutch-American barns, running parallel to the roof peak. This area is situated between the animal stalls and often comprises three separate spaces. In the us ive head Fairway a lot too
One trailer that I've used when I want to transport livestock, bales, pallets and logs is the "Johnston Brothers Modular Trailer" mod. It has different modules that fit together to create different kinds of trailers. It takes a few minutes to get the hang of how to assemble the pieces in-game, because each module is a separate tool that unfolds and attaches to the trailer, but once you figure out how the assembly works it is a very versatile option. Normally, I rent livestock trailers, but since you're producing lambs this could be an inexpensive option.
I find it funny how in the game the articulated loader has worse visibility than the standard telehandlers because of the seating position, where its the opposite IRL. Where I work we have both kinds of JCB loaders and the articulated loader is much better for visibility because you are higher up and central to the boom (and you can lean side to side, where the telehandler is lower and offset meaning for bucket work its harder to see if the bucket is level and where the far edge is if you're near a wall.
Honestly would rather watch you magically jump in and out of tractors than have to watch a tiny mini game puzzle thing or whatever😂 loving this series though!!
I find that most simulation games are always better when you first start them and have absolutely nothing and no $. It gives a purpose to everything you're doing and keeps you engaged. Once you have tons of $ I find it starts to get boring because there's no longer anything to work towards.
The black mountain welsh sheep or whatever they are called produce more wool than any of the others. It's been tested and absolutely accurate. Not saying it's a massive amount more but when every penny matters you might want to consider switching to those ones.
It would be pretty realistic to be able to leave the tractor door open then smash it off on a post or hay bale. But all jokes aside farmers cut corners in real life was much as possible. I’ve definitely stacked more bales with a pallet fork than with a bale tine. So being realistic is cutting corners when it’s convenient.
There are a bunch of cars/vehicles on the property that you could repair for a transport vehicle on and off of the fields. Many farmers know general repairs IRL
I think I will keep commenting until this series is eventually over: This is (besides the now-paused Vintage Survival) by far my favorite series you do! Keep it going as long as possible!
Hey Dag, loving the series i have a mod suggestion, the interactive seed and fertiliser bags just means you have to open the bags yourself but also you can choose to empty them however much you want instead of using the whole bag. 😁
Love this series daggerwin, on are farm after ploughing we use the Dtx machine which is in fs under the subsoiler category, it can also count as a ploughing since to goes really deep
It just dawned on me that you dont really need a forklift, as a pallet jack mod would allow you to get the pallets to more accessible locations, the exception being with your fertilizer which definitely needs a new home
There is a CSZ mod for the stone picker that can attach to a front loader, wheel loader or telehandler and is very cheap. I think its about 250-300. A ton of mod options included in that pack as well.
Just have a question as to why would you take out all of the grass fields that can and do bring in profit instead of harvesting them a few times to build up money to buy what is needed. No farmer would plow under a profitable field to plant in other fields he doesn’t already have the equipment to harvest or plant before he does
i drive a flexi forklift (aislemaster) at work and cannot see the forks travelling forwards. i always pick up (and drop off) pallets on an angle to see the forks. would be difficult in FS as limited depth perception tho...
Peanut uses a modded harvester by Mark Thor I believe, it has headers for every crop and their wide headers unlike the narrow ones for the root crops and potatoes
You should use a second profile and buy a forklift for the store like you and others have done. That way you have a lift system at the store and can use vehicles you know for sure can move the trailers and that.
You can't smooth the farm yard, it's all one big prefab...You can edit the map to remove it either with GE or map object hider but it messes up some other stuff too. Map object hider can be used to get rid of the cars and other stuff around the yard that don't make much sense.
So we had a Kubota compact wheel loader, just like the one in game, at my old job. It's similar enough to the job, for talking about how you see your own forks, and the answer is you kinda don't, at certain spots of travel I couldn't see my own forks at all and had to have second guy guide me. So yeah in real life, you kinda guess
You ask where to find the time on these machines at 15mins , usually on heavy equipment it is on the radio player from the jcb kubota and case that I've ran
Hey daggerwin, in real life you always do the headlands first with the drill not last, and also i was really hoping to see you use the gps mod and it would get rid of many of the missed bits you sometimes have
As for interactive controls, I like "mon bazou" controls. Every vehicle, you must use the handle to get in, close the door, turn the key, disengage the parking break, and put into gear. Then, do the reverse order to be done driving. No teleport, fuel must be interacted with, and no tools teleport. You must carry your chainsaw with you. Edit: maybe add the realistic refuel time/ handle to the series
I know it's a slow moving series, and some don't like that aspect. I feel the opposite... Making it 2 days per month, would give you more time while being realistic.
Regarding the low viability in the JCB, we have the exact same one in real life. No offence but the modder did a poor job when doing it. You can see the tines on a pallet fork no problem.
i do not blame u if u forget to open the door that must be so hard after all that time playing and make sure u take a look at a mod with extendable forks if u get a forklift
My girlfriend and i have enjoyed a lot of your videos in the past, but recently it has been harder to know what video is the next in a series because there is no number on the thumbnail and the video names are so long that the episode number is not showing. Thought we might give some constructive feedback to our favorite FS content creator
@@christophermartin5742 yea I saw they were on this series, but it is kind of random if there is a number. We are currently watching the newest coop series and there is no number. I commented this video because it is the newest which gives a bigger chance for the feedback to be seen. But thanks for the heads up 👍
You need to buy a tele-handler for the shop. I do it on My save. I have a farm in multiplayer called shop, and it has a tele-handler that Is there for loading purchased items from the warehouse onto my trailers.
he uses music from Epidemic Sound prob pays the same as me around £16 per month for subscription its copyright free so can use it on you tube and other social media
I meant to mention this in an earlier video, you are the first farmer (in farm SIM or real life) that I've ever seen do thee headlands last. Typically the headlands are done first to give room to turn around, as too I said about the creek, and to get as close to fences and other obstructions as possible.
Maybe with with interactive control you might have tom customised the tractor with no interactive control like the jcb it's has animated doors and it might be set to animated doors btw the interactive control in some of the tractor does different things like the button in the claas if you look around in the cab
