Colorado isn't the Beautiful Bountiful Land of Promise you think it is, it's only become that since the 1970's. and now that there is legal marijuana there is a huge industry potential there yet, CO is already Great, don't blow it.
You need to read real history. The heyday of the KKK in Colorado was relatively brief. It's peak was 1920 and by the early 30's it had largely lost influence. I would point out Gov Ralph Carr, who opposed FDR's internment of Japanese-Americans in WWII.
