Gov. Sanders explained the features of the $19K lectern that was purchased by her office as well as why she didn't use it for a press conference on Oct. 17.
I would think spending 19k of Arkansans, the people's money on a trip with your friends to Paris rather on a podium that she was talking. Talk about coverup, and trying to pass a bill to have Arkansas to help cover up her actions.
silly updating your White Privilege playlist with a 6 year old Ana Kasperian video? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u1yIVg91o6E.html you do know she ultimately defended Kyle Rittenhouse...your favorite white supremacist....and has denounced the left as basically Wacko unhinged unstable at this point. Trumpanzee? sounds somewhat racist...oh but when that's all you got...well you know the drill....and since the shoe apparently fits.
The bad thing is those people of that state won't do anything about it just let it go and let her keep making a fool of those people who live there. Look at her face, she is saying What are you going to do about it.
@aljay2955 yeah except she bought it from her friend's company who has absolutely nothing to do with podiums. It was clearly a corrupt reimbursement for a lux Paris trip.
@@aljay2955 She spent 19 thousand dollars on a knockoff lectern and when she was called out for using the state credit card, she went back and changed the receipt. She's a criminal, tampering with evidence. That has nothing to do with inflating costs to ensure your yearly budget is justified. It's blatant theft.
@@hokekeller14 she said the other podium had special sound features. The one she's using doesn't seem to be a problem. Regardless of the sound component, I don't believe anything she says
Let me get this straight…she refuses to share details of the justification for this purchase now in a press briefing, because it’s such a non-issue, but also because the media would talk about nothing else if she settled the matter now? It would have taken very little time for her staff to write up a short press packet that explained the purchase, listing the features of the lectern that justified the price and why she needed the features. That - if reasonable - is what would give news reporters nothing to talk about. Look, I always try to test my biases by imagining my guy did it. And I get not wanting to get too far into the weeds about non-issues, especially when there is any level of complexity or nuance involved, but this isn’t that.
You are so correct. This would turn into HER, "I got you" moment if she were able to say..... "Glad you asked, it has a $10,000 built in highly specialized sound amplifier, that allows as many as 50 media organizations at once to plug into. It has a $5,000 visual screen for my staff to send me during live interviews documents, and for me to display my outlines and speeches on, and it is made from the very LAST, the very LAST, Amazonian tree of Black Oak Phosphoric Cedar, and required 1,000 pigmys to carry it out by hand before it was hand hewn by 35 Veterans of war, specifically PRISONERS of war who wanted their portion to go to disabled veterans." And then that would be the end, wwe would all go, that is too freaking cool.
Does ms sanders say why the lectern has been said to be a fake by the people who make them and even if it was the real thing the most it would cost is seven thousand dollars so what is the rest of the charge for?
what about biden? And the hundreds of democrats that paid themselves millions this year in write offs. youre crying about a $19k lectern. Tell me you dont know how government works without telling me. Then tell me youre so naive you dont know how government works.
When she mentioned spending time on things that impact our state, I can say this Arkansan certainly feels that spending $19,000 on a podium is certainly impactful. In fact, I think it is impactful to the point of malfeasance and reckless spending.
"That's not my keed, Maury! I've never slept with that woman! She's straight up lying, I never met her in my life!" "And the DNA results are in, it IS your child!"
I love how politicians just laugh at their own corruption. That lady behind her knows they've been caught red handed and knows they won't face any consequences whatsoever.
I don't know about no consequences whatsoever. The FBI doesn't take kindly to waste fraud and abuse when it pertains to things like campaign finance and taxpayer money.
@@solblackguy Wouldn't it be a state crime though? The Arkansas AG is also a Republican. i don't think it's going to go anywhere besides a commercial in a campaign ad by whoever her opponent is in the next election.
That's why he's asking about the 20k the 3of them just went on vacation and blew a bunch of her constituents' money. She literally just got back from vaca under a month ago I believe. I'm from a border state so idk what it's like in Arkansas but I can't help feel bad for the poor ppl who voted for her, despite their political leaning no one deserves to have their hard earned money taken like this. And her lie is just SO SLOPPY.
I would be concerned over the judgement of anyone who feels justified in spending $19,000 on a shorter podium rather than $20 on building a step for the podium.
how about $350 million on a park renovation that never happened. Also 28 trillion other dollars that still havent been tracked since 2013. your boyfriend obama. sure that doesnt bother you though does it?
Everyone behind her, including Snake Woman, is there to strategically smirk and laugh off the lectern controversy so at face value all her supporters believe it to be a manufactured lie.
In what world a SMALLER Lectern would cost $19,000 instead to a bigger Lectern tha cost $700.?? Didn't she know that for the height problem they can modify the mic lenght?
Of course the media wants to spend more time talking about a dumb $19,000 oversight then the work of the people so let’s not talk about that anymore 😂😂😂😂
I would like to know how much money the podium she’s on cost, and did the taxpayers pay for it or did the Republican committee pay for it? Why would the Republican committee pay for a governor’s podium anyway?
The audacity to think the people don’t see right through this BS. No lectern cost 19K and it’s also so telling that it’s just under 20K because she knew that would really bring the heat- What a joke…
Well, in red states, we have balanced budgets and lower crime. We allow police and DA's to do their jobs. We don't have BLM burning, looting, and murdering. Take a look at EVERY big bankrupt city, with tons of crime, corruption, and filthy streets, IT IS A BLUE mayor and city council. So, idiot blue voters, gotta love 'em!!
It’s not the crime - it’s the cover-up. And let’s face it, if she and her underlings knew exactly how to make money to a friend look like a furniture purchase for the state, it’s not her first time doing this. I bet some forensic accountants are going to have a field day uncovering all the corruption in the Arkansas statehouse.
No, they won't have a field day because there's no federal or third party audit. They're auditing themselves. I do agree, though... There's no way this was the first time
@@bwloawesome I guess I was talking more about forensic accountants who will be working with journalists to go over every public record of state expenditures they can get their hands on. Someone MUST be starting to look into these things to find more evidence of illegal "gifts" to friends and other corruption.
@@bwloawesomeI worked for city of Anaheim in payroll in the 80s. We had surprise internal auditor visits. Anaheim is the most well run city I have seen ever. Grew up there. The ONLY thing in the way are the pockets of GOP!
It's a crime and a cover up. A crime to utilize tax dollars for the purpose of personal leisure activities and a cover up to keep ot under a certain amount and use your vacationing friend's business as to the purchase of said lecture that her company has no business in.
So were supposed to believe she bought this $19K lectern, but refuses to use it because the media would talk about it? So why did she buy it in the first place?! Do the people she bought it from have a return policy or something? If so, she could return it and use her fake lectern! I mean what am I missing here?!
She's really struggling here. She knows she's been busted commiting multiple felonies. You can hear the guilt in here voice when she responds to the question. She's nearly in tears by the end.
at her criminal trial, her favorite line is she dont rekall. She looks like my govt sba contracts fraudster aunt in San Antonio. I reported her. WIth the same crooked mouth.
Wow...her facial expression @ 1:48 ~ 1:54 says it all. No need to go to trial. Seems anyone connected to Agent Orange is guilty of one crime or another. Ummm...Birds of feather...
We need the FOIA laws changed to protect our crooked politicians! It's outrageous that a simple reporter was able to uncover crimes a governor committed! Her greed and contempt for the taxpayers needs to be protected! bless her heart
Ha! What a fraud! 19k is more than alot of "Arkansans" make annually! I would love to see the budget for her office! I like how Sanders doesn't think the taxpayers or media should be concerned about how she spends the money! lol
Oh my goodness if that is the only wasteful spending they can find they have a great governor our New York governor can’t stop finding new ways to waste money or raise taxes or bring in more non tax pay immigrants
If she truly cared about the things that impact the residents of Arkansas she would have used the 20K to assist them instead of her girlfriends in Paris. The other lie about the reimbursement, why wouldn’t the Republican Party of Arkansas purchase it directly from Sarahs friend and gift it to the state so public tax dollars needed elsewhere were available?
I bid on the Lectern too! But lost because the $19K was low bid. Y'all do 't understand all the regulations and BS to bid on Gov't project that add to any cost. My Bid was $37K and only stood to make about $33K after it all was over.
How are the people of Arkansas impacted by the loss of TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS?? That money could have paid for school lunches for poor kids. That money could have gone to repairing a crossing light in front of a school to keep kids safe. That money could have gone to repair potholes in the road, cracks in a sidewalk, or any number of other things that are far more important than a decorative pulpit so she can feel like Liberace.
Can someone please get her some shampoo and conditioner. She never heard of Paul Mitchell. LOL But seriously, this is a distraction, from the corruption issue.
I know it doesn’t exist. I just wish they would ask that question instead of “why aren’t you using it now?” if she bought it in June she would’ve started using it in June because there was no controversy. I just want to see her answer that question.
