Seriously I'm feeling left out of my opportunity to learn. Black History was not taught in our schools in California, not in High Schools in the 70's. Now I watch all classes with Dr Greg Carr & The Black Tabel. Thank you again. P.Garrett
There is nothing stopping Black children from learning Black history even when it's not taught in the schools. There are tons of books in the library and in numerable articles/courses online. Chinese history isn't taught in public schools yet Chinese children are thoroughly educated on their heritage. Why? Because their parents and the community teach. There is a cultural Center on just about every block in any Chinatown in any city. Black people need to get rid of all these useless churches and start building cultural Center's where we can properly teach our own children. Beyond ridiculous that we constantly complain about these folks not teaching OUR children OUR history think about that. This learned helplessness and over dependence upon white society for stuff we can easily do ourselves makes us look like children.
A 1964 quote by President Lyndon B. Johnson about the southern white strategy: "I'll tell you what's at the bottom of it. If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

The people of Flint are suffering, they are paying high water bills, need their homes fixed and the mayor and 6 council members are not giving the residents the ARPA funds to fix their homes. Some people have sewage backup in their basements and Mayor Neely is doing nothing to help them. Praying for the people of Flint.
