We are British citizens who live in Northern Ireland part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain the 12th of July commemorates a battle fought in 1690 which we won. So why do you an outsider mock us. Catholic protestant Hindu or buddhist it doesn’t matter to me, but I do support these parades not from a bigotry point of view,but from someone that is proud of their nationality. I am a British citizen who lives in a British country it just happens to be that the island of Ireland is divided. I wish we could just live in peace. And except that majority of people in Northern Ireland wish to remain British. I do not support any form of bigotry any form of discrimination or any form of violence against anyone just because of their religious beliefs. Religion has been the reason for so many wars and so many deaths in so many countries all because someone believes in a different religion it’s ridiculous considering so many religions have one major similarity though shall not kill !!! I for one would love to live in peace in my country while holding the hand of the south of Ireland in friendship. I don’t disagree with you on one point. That being, Not everyone holds my point of view I can just hope someday that they will. But please in the meantime don’t take the piss out of our parades. Our parents took us to see the bands when we were children not because they were bigots but because it was a day for families to get together and enjoy the atmosphere and we loved it we didn’t go because of anything else other than enjoyment. I live in Govan and never seen this lot outside the churches on a sunday! What I do see is lovely families in their best clothes from a bunch of different countries going to the catholic and the evangelical church. This lot wouldnt cope with the diversity at church 😂
