I use my AmbiVision for almost 2 years. They made a couple of firmware updates and improvements during this time. Now the kit is working amazing, without lags and very bright. Colors recognition is perfect. You just need to adjust the system to your TV. It works like a charm

We reached out to Govee Customer Service to ask about connecting light strips. They advised against it, because they said there would not be enough power for two or more strips. Instead, they advised plugging each light strip into a different power plug and using Google Home or Alexa to coordinate the separate strips. My son named his light strips "Light Strip 1," "Light Strip 2," and "Light Strip 3." When he gives Google Home a command like "Hey Google, turn all light strips on," it turns them all on at the same time. Similarly, if he says "Hey Google, turn all light strips blue," it works. He is experimenting with the musical coordination. For the moment, he has to command each strip separately on the app to get them to sync with music.

Thank you very much for the step by step instructions. I just received my Govee light strips today! I believe you do not have to solder the strips after cutting, there are specially made connectors and clips for this. Thanks again!

@@livesoul I believe you would have to purchase these separately. I did not have to worry about connecting multiple strips together, one strip worked great for our Kitchen island. I purchases another strip for our office desk. Both were cut to fit and did not need connectors.

I gust installed strip lights under my counters, they dont do all the changes that your's do, but they turn off and on with a hand motion close to them. I will wait to see how long mine last and see if your's last as well before i do any changes. Thanks for the demonstration. I will keep these in mind.. I believe there's some feature called "routines" for the Amazon Echo. I'm barely getting started with my Alexa but I guess these routine things could help. Google Assistant must have something like them too.

Yes, you can cut the three pin connector from one end, use rgb led extension wire to extend it to required length. Solder both the ends.. I like govee led strip but they are not coming up with new scenes or animations so I have connected mine with sp108e led controller...

They warn you not to due to the power supply being possibly overloaded with too many lights. You can try it but if it doesn't work you're drawing too much power.

I bought 32 feet led strip from govee. Only problem with govee is that you cannot connect it in series. It comes with two connectors, I cut one of the connectors and added a 15 feet wire. Please take a look at the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P3ILwJ5avhY.html .. you can improve the logic where you can connect govee or sp108e controller.. do it at your own risk.

PC NOOBie LOL you have to connect wires to the copper plates on the LED strip. The wires then have to connect to the wall outlet.

Can you use the same led strip in 2 different places. Say one part goes around my ceiling. Then the other goes under my desk. Will that work? And if so how does it work?

Sort of. You have to buy hard wire kits and run them like speaker wire. I found them on Amazon. But then it's considered one circuit. So both strands of light will turn on. Otherwise you have to buy a second power bar. At least I think that is how it would work. In Wyle E. Coyote theory.

Try unplugging the strip, plugging it back in untill it flashes and reinstall the app and see if that does anything

I've been having some problems with it connecting to my Google Home so I can turn it on/off with voice commands, but it might just be my wifi signal. I would absolutely recommend and buy this product again

@@bloxidy8752 There are marks along the strip indicating where it can be cut. But once you cut it, the excess lights won't work unless you use pin connectors to reconnect it back to the main strip

When I put them up and want to connect another strand, in order for the right connectors to line up, one strand is backwards (facing the wall)... any idea what I’m doing wrong??

I recommend using LED channels with mounting tape for mounting to the back of a TV. It looks cleaner and the aluminum channels stick better/longer.

Hi. I bought the BT version of it (H6116) and so far i am happy. Everything works. Now i need to install them in my ceiling and i would need to cut it a bit, also, i probably need to cut them to install 90° adapters. However, i am unsure. Nearly everyone on Amazon said (including Govee) they are NOT cuttable. Is there a reason for this? You should be able to safely cut them where the copper plates are, right? Is there some "hidden magic" behind it? I regularly worked with normal RGB strips, but never worked with addressable strips before, so i am unsure. Also, what happens if you trim them and then go to Music mode? Since the Spectrum mode goes from a "center", how does it behave when the Strip gets cut? Will the strip then be "off-center" or will it find a new center based on the new total length of the strip? Maybe someone who bought this strip-set can help me. Thanks!

I plan on using an angle aluminum channel to mount strips then onto back of tv....it is just too hot for any adhesive to stay attached... The channel should help dissipate the heat!!! I am using govee h6104 on my 21:9 Visio chromevision!!!!

I have a Theater Room and have an elevated platform where our seating row is, unfortunately the platform is carpeted and I was wanting use my Govee light strips to trim the platform, much like a you would see in a theater environment. Somewhat of a safety issue without proper lighting as the platform is a 7" riser and I don't want guest tripping on it attempting to reach their seat. SOooo, my question is how to mount these? Maybe order more "clips" to help support them, and a dab of glue every foot or so, any suggestions would be much appreciated. The wife and I loved your presentation btw!

I doubt you will respond, but if I have my phone connected to the lights via Bluetooth, will I be able to connect my phone to a Bluetooth sound bar and have the lights and the sound bar connected to my phone at the same time? Another question is this. If the first one doesn’t work, if I have my phone Bluetooth paired to the lights will it still detect music if I have an aux cord plugged into my phone at the same time? My main concern is that I can have the lights and another speaker connected to my phone at the same time and still work with changing colors to music.

So would you say they are as bright as your other lights with only 1 strip. U said they were but you put two rows on your Monitor so are they as bright with just one row? Also could you cut these and put a corner connector on them? What is better to do to LED Strips... cut them and make one continual strip or use the supplied splitter that usually comes with them. Are there pros and cons? I looking for a 12 x 12 room that I would like to be continual.

Excellent video Brett. Which of all the LED strips that you have analyzed how much with separate white light? that are not a mixture of colors to create white.

Thanks for the video, although I have a small problem, i tried to put it and the tape started to fell before I finished. I was trying to put it in the window. What can I do now?? The strip fell off and cannot tape it back again!!!! What should I use now to stick them in the window??
