The Azure Window was a natural limestone arch located on the island of Gozo in Malta.
It was also known as the Dwejra Window or Fungus Rock. The Azure Window was a popular tourist attraction and one of the most recognizable landmarks on the island.
The arch was formed over thousands of years by the relentless pounding of the waves against the soft limestone cliffs of the Dwejra Bay. It was 28 meters tall and 55 meters wide, and it offered stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea.
The Azure Window was named for the deep blue color of the water that could be seen through the arch. The area around the arch was also known for its diverse marine life, and it was a popular spot for diving and snorkeling. The location in the video, Flo Azure Window, is a less known spot where you could see the arch.
Unfortunately, in 2017, the Azure Window collapsed due to natural erosion and heavy storms, leaving only two pillars standing. While the arch itself no longer exists, the site remains a popular destination for tourists who come to admire the natural beauty of the area and the remaining pillars.
Currently, the Flo Azure Window is still an amazing viewpoint that is not crowded and it's a hidden gem around the area.
