Commandeer is a card I’m surprised doesnt get played more in this day and age. Its basically a moden legal force of will for planeswalkers- I’d pitch some jank draw in my hand as death’s shadow to take my enemy’s liliana/jace/karn anyday.
Invisible True, but as a one-of for tier 2 tech like UW control? A 1 or 2 of is something I could see versus things like tron. Pitch some otherwise worthless crap in your hand and get an enemy karn or ugin, that sounds like a good time to me, and something that deck in particular wouldnt mind the hit to card advantage for.
@@rayeweir3096 True, but the vast majority of Modern decks play 2+ colors, many play 3. That is most likely why Commandeer sees next to no play in the format - and probably also what Invisible meant.
Effect of card: You may exile two blue cards from your hand rather than pay this spell's mana cost. Gain control of target NONCREATURE spell. You may choose new targets for it. (If that spell is an artifact, enchantment, or planeswalker, the permanent enters the battlefield under your control.) Reading the card explains the card :)
why on earth he boarded in thing in the ice is beyond me. This match up is free for turns. I've played the deck for 1 year less than dan wong has and have never ever lost to tron. Exhaustion plus gigadrowse is lights out. just stick howling mine effect + exhaustion after gigadrowse = gg.
Jace ult or snapcaster mage and bolts. They have many cards that tap the opponents creatures then swing for 2, 4, or 6 with mages and they usually have 4 bolts. They take another turn and thats roughlt 15ish average damage between snaps and bolts.
Tron is definitely not fun. We need something like: 1R, Sorcery: Destroy target land that cannot produce colored mana. Or... 1RR, Sorcery: Destroy target land and all other lands with the same name as that land that cannot produce colored mana.
Not really tbh, there's enough land destruction in enough colours to make Tron an easy enough matchup to deal with. Plus, in a format saturated with quick wins, Tron can be rather inconsistent in comparison to other decks.
