i think one of the most hated drivers that runned in gp2/f2...he took part i think in the biggest number of seasons, everytime causing accidents, trying impossible overtakes damaging the opponents, spinning in absurd ways, flatspotting tyres and making poor performances...he was backed by his family, that was formed by very rich entrepreneurs, so every season they found a lot of sponsors or they gave money to grant him a seat in a tema(each season, different team, because also the team knew perfectly that signing him would mean extra work for car repairs and problems in the management of a pilot with a bad behavior)

Mugello was still much worse

while this restart was bad, Mugello had caused a red flag and several drivers to dnf.

The green flag on the left is closer to the camera than the yellow flag and SC board. The race restarts between the two.

@@GeniusLad32 Nope. This is between turns 1 and 2, so far after the start line. Also in the next shot, which is after turn 2, you see another yellow flag and sc board that they then switch to green.

I think we were lucky even to get 10

@@michaelsanderson9562 tbh I’m surprised the race wasn’t red flagged and stopped with the way some of them were driving. Reminded me of another race where the race director abandoned the race due to poor driving.

@@Jonathan-mj1oe at the sc restart he took of and then braked again. As leader you can control the pace but the pace is only allowed to go up, breaking is not aloud as soon you iniciate the restart.

@@1AngryPanda You can brake when 'controlling the pace', it would appear he didn't know where the safety car line was (it is a long way back at Baku) and was weaving to get heat into the tyres, which I guess made half the field unsure of whether the race had started, and the other half certain it had. It could have easily been a lot worse.

@@benjaminrichardson4094 as soon the safety car switch the lights out. The leader controls the pace. At this moment he can break to create a gap between the sc and his car. But as soon as he pick up the pace again he cant break and speed up again and so on. He still can drive zigg zagg to create heat in the tyres but the speed have to be same. For heat the breaks he can break and give gas at the same time, still the speed have to be the same. The rules are set for exaxtly the reason that the drivers in the back not got surprised with a full stop. Baku was luckely a wide track so the drivers had enough space to move, but like you said it could be easy gone wrong. He got supspended for the next race because of this.

The driving was much worse in this case tbh. Bottas just crawled to the line which is perfectly fine ruleswise. But Matsushita accelerated and then started to break and weave again. Thats a big no no. Amazing that nobody got injured that day.

@@davidpape5548 in his defence, the marshals on the start/finish straight hadn't taken in the yellow flags and SC boards. When racing, the track side signs and flags take precedent over all else. He was right to slow for it and I'm sure the marshals involved got a major talking to afterwards

@@seafood1471 Are we talking about the same incident? Im talking about Race 2 and not the restart of Race 1 which was a major failure of the Marshals. I could be wrong though do you have a timestamp for the yellows you are refering to?
