This is a port of Kingdom Way from Mario Kart Arcade GPDX for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, with heavy model changes to accomodate it to 8dx. This took forever to make, hope you like it.
No wonder. GPDX runs on one of Namco’s arcade systems (the ES3), which has a better GPU clock and bandwidth than the Switch and Wii U. The assets honestly look better than 8 Deluxe even if the tracks themselves are boring to drive.
Nah, still true. Doesn't matter whether you take wave 1 or wave 6, they're all just ports from the smartphone game, which is the reason why they have that Unity-look to them. @@bigdealbro3439
Since Booster Course Pass was completed, i was thinking about Arcade GP courses and probably used the same track but with a different layout So i wonder if someone merge both layout tracks as Peach's castle + Kingdom way as an example, just like how they did with the tour tracks in 8DX at the same time Lap 1 is Peach's castle Lap 2 is Kingdom Way Lap 3 is Peach's Castle again Final Lap is Kingdom way again The course will renamed into Peach's Royal Circuit despite using Peach's Castle music background
Ah... I remember sitting next to someone trying to play GPDX in an arcade at an amusement park and harassing that person with multiplayer. hahahahahaha
nope, this took long enough already and I'm porting something else. Also, the warping that happens in this track covers a much longer distance than the one on kingdom way, and I have no idea how I'd replicate that
I've read elsewhere that overall track times have to be under 5 minutes so Wi-Fi doesn't kill the race automatically after its hard cap of 5 minutes. As such, that's why most of the Arcade tracks have been sectionals or just 2 laps.
You can find plenty of tutorials online on how to mod a game on yuzu. Basically just right click on mk8dx, click on open mod folder, create a new folder in that directory and drag and drop the romfs folder
It's 200cc, red and blues always do that at 200cc. there's an invincibility frame whenever you get hit by something, in that case I threw the banana to get a smaller knock out
@@Claudio.26.05 I dont know if any of these are for 8dx only. But whenever I throw myself a banana to avoid the blue shell, I always get hit while in the hit animation. And not getting hit after the hit animation ends
@@Claudio.26.05 which atmosphere version and switch FW version? Mario Kart version as well? curious if there’s something I’m missing, a good 25% of the tracks I try just don’t work on my switch but all the rest do flawlessly
