A couple of suggestions: 1. The plastic outer layer on Mylar packaging is very thin. Metal alligator clips may pierce the outer layer just enough to contact the conductive foil. And the wires attached to the alligator clips can act as antennas. 2. Non-conductive insulating layers between layers of aluminum foil might be more effective. A sheet of paper would do as insulation. As a demonstration, the Villard design makeshift loop antenna for AM shortwave/medium wave reception uses only aluminum foil as both the receiving element and a tuning capacitor, with a sheet of paper as insulation, taped to a backing made of cardboard, poster board, etc.

This has opened my eyes, I would just say switch your phone off and remove the battery. But think about it. Modern phones are integrated batteries. Why is this, maybe because even switched off it sends out a signal, g4 and g5 are higher frequencies, so maybe, test a phone that is fully shut down, to see if it sends out a ping test. Would make sense if modern phone where used to track people.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm trying to "catch" a cell signal and relay it to a cabin. At about 100 ft of elevation change, there is cell service but not at ground level where the building is. I needed to test the effectiveness of a relay antenna and this provided control for testing purposes. I ended up rolling everything in aluminum foil but the chip bag reminded me there was a simple option. Now, I won't know for sure that the relay antenna will work until I do the real-world test, but I do know that it is promising based on my control test. Thanks again! BTW- I tried using the microwave but a test call goes right through.

This video is decidedly the most important, informative and totally lucid treatment of what had been bothering and even tormenting me for some time. How to totally shield a smart phone from the slightest ingress of the very strongest tower signal, gps or any other external source of emf of comparative signal strength, wave form and most important frequency. The first time I seen a chip bag to block a cellphone was by Gene Hackman in the Enemy Of The State on Will Smith and the best way to keep someone from tracking you is put your phone and a battery pack in a Ziploc bag and stuff it in a spare tire of a semi truck at a fuel island and walk away

I tried this experiment after I saw that scene in the movie and tried it. I wrapped my phone in 2 layers of aluminum foil and then placed it in the chip bag and drove 30 mins from my house and looked to see if my phone recorded the trip. It didn't. I was convinced. But I didn't know about the wifi bit. Thanks for that info.

I've tried the microwave I put my phone in the refrigerator that seemed to do the it's a metallic fridge and by the way even if your phone is off or even dead there's just enough power that anybody nefarious can still turn it on and track you!

build a laptop with no wireless chips, justt an ethernet port and alot of memory, the rest to your needs, just claim you use a landline if anyone asks, leave cellphone plugged at home to act as one or use an actual landline. people might bug you at first but you just download everything you can in advance, you don't need to be accesable 24/7

Easiest tips if you don’t want to be tracked… Don’t take the phone. Or smash it. As soon as you turn it on or connect they got you. When could you use it if they are tracking you?

In da hood, the microwave is another quick option. Just dont mix it up with your cup o noodles

I think i told you before on a tiktok vid about raspberry pi hacking. What about signals a frequency hacks, such as security keys door lock or hotels rooms card keys using raspberry pi as some sort of MITM converting the frequency to the exact same to the door you try to access. Just an idea. Idk if it well stated.
