Thank you so much for your kind comment, Joachim! It’s really a beautiful long distance hike that gives you so many options in regard to find your own trail.

Totally wonderful, and thanks for sharing. Brings so many memories, as I did the same hike, the same year, but in the other direction! We should have met somewhere on Kungsleden, but I don't think we did. Anyway, beautiful footage (in two meanings of the word ;) ).

Thank you so much for this wonderful comment, Palle! It means a lot for me, especially when it comes from someone who also hiked GB. You’re right, we must have passed each other somewhere on Kungsleden :-)

Very inspiring. Would you like to share your packing list and thoughts and experiences about food on the trip?

Thank you Jonathan! In regard to my packing list here are my big 4: Backpack: Hyperlite Mountain Gear Southwest 55l, Tent: Z-Packs Plex Solo, Quilt: Enlightened Equipment Enigma (-6°Celsius), Sleeping mattress: Thermarest NeoAir Xlite (170cm). For all the rest of gear I can only recommend less is more :-) In regard to food I resupplied at the supermarkets on the way. This was an easy task, they have all you need. My longest food carry was 8 days between Abisko and Jäckvik on the Kungsleden. (Usually the huts provide some food but whilst I hiked this stretch some huts had been closed).

Nice to see someone that doesn't walk in heavy leather boots

thank you! Well, everyone has his own style of hiking, for me these Trailrunners work in that kind of trail very well, but of course you have to be fine with wet feet almost every day.

Genial, Natur pur!!

Beautiful video. How was the mosquito situation during your trip?

Thank you so much! The mosquito situation wasn't that bad when I started my hike end of July and from mid August on they slowly vanished.

Amazing video! great inspiration for my summer trip...what camera gear did you take w you? and would you recommend these trailrunners for a hike like this?
@gonesurfing8603

Thank you very much! I filmed with the Fuji XT5, Fuji 18-55mm, Fuji 14mm and a Gopro Hero 11. In regard to shoes everybody has different needs, so it’s not easy to do a recommendation. Here are my thoughts on this topic. I used this model on several long distance hikes and I am happy with them. Trailrunners in general are lighter than boots, so every step will be easier, they are more breathable, so less blisters. On the other side you have to deal with wet feet on most of the days, but the trailrunners dry much faster than boots. Boots will last longer, on GB you may need a second pair of Trailrunners. In the end you have to decide what works best for you.
