Journalists say that the GR Yaris is good but you guys tested the car much better than those without being biased at all and these mods has made the GR Yaris perfection now. Great job Misha & Robert.
@@RobertMitchell you are getting another GR Yaris! we only getting 30cars in Taiwan & we have 300 order down payment in one day! So there are 270 back order now!!! But then China & USA aren’t getting any !
@@Pit63 don't want to be offensive or smth but, do you have enough mountain roads and enough of a high speed limit to empty a gas tank from one side of the island to the other, driving a car like the GR?, if the answer is no, then why would you bother?, just because of the hype?, I am asking because, for driving slowly through villages and continuous towns, I can think on around hundreds of other more suited cars. The GR Yaris is for attacking a quiet mountain pass in anger, not for roads full of scooters and 50hp little vans. edit. I'm not saying people should stop wanting a car like the GR; I'm just saying that 30 cars for 30k square kms is enough, especially since there are no places where you can unleash it. More than this numbers would be a waste, since there are many countries on this planet that do have the roads on which you can properly use this tiny rocket of a car. edit 2. I have just checked and for roads that are similar to mountain passes, the speed limits are: on lanes without markings: 40 km/h on lanes(one per direction) with markings: 50 km/h ffs, the highway limit is 100 to 110 km/h. where do you plan to use the GR, just for curiosity? :) so sorry but, more than 30 cars would be a waste of cars. Toyota's allocation numbers are correct. Get an automatic convertible if you want to enjoy a mountain road at slow speeds(40-50-60km/h).
Great update! I just ordered some items from your "money shift" collection. Please do more! I really love this kind of comic styled apparel! Looking forward to seeing your new 2.5L GT86 if and when you get it!
Nooo. I missed out on the keychains. Oh well, better luck next time. I’m picking up my GR Yaris this week and can’t wait! Thanks for the great videos and content.
@@RobertMitchell sure will and we’re so lucky to have the most amazing roads in our state the home of worlds greatest tarmac rally. Targa Tasmania. You guys would love Australia!
@@adrianfairfield5520 that's awesome man tassie has some awesome roads for a gr. Happy motoring mate. Hopefully you don't make any keychains of your own 😉
Your detailed work with your technical partners to improve the driving position is awesome. It makes me wonder what configuration the rally cars have. Are any of those competing yet?
Can you do a video going through TÜV for the non-germans, I have heard alot of extremes and also people saying it's actually quite relaxed if done properly, could you go through all the vehicles and how they are registered?
The yaris collection with the colours of the japanese flag... 😉🇯🇵 i really like seeing those pocket rockets doing rally style moves on track like 4 wheel powerslides 😊😋😅
Great video! It would be cool to have video(s) explaining the TuV process for a modified car and why Apex is going through the pains to have your cars meet TuV
I would love to see you compare your another GR Yaris stock Vs Civic Type-R Robert. I still prefer the Civic Type-R as it’s a motorsport car which I love for the road but what’s your choice??
If it were mine, I’d get some carpets in the back, an Evolve airbox, an exhaust, and make sure the speakers don’t play engine sounds. But damn this is a good recipe for the Yaris and I wish it was mine
0:17 thats what I wanted to say first time I saw Robert posted about mishift, but at the same I stayed polite and didn't want to hurt his feelings :) good to know he knows the deal.
So the heavy Chevy will be getting a Milltec dual exhaust or will you go with a short exhaust dump in front of the passenger rear tire?! ... oh wait !! GR Yaris content , I’m here for the unatainium ... I’m waiting for the next season release of the Nurburgring alpaca wool hoodie, so the Apex Fashion House is on that, Right! Cheers and salutations Tom Stamp, love what you’re doing with the new studio toys!!! Will stay tuned!!
Just gotta say, before anything else . . . the Apex Hotel puts things into a remarkable perspective. Robert, you're 6'3 or 4 aren't you? Misha MUST be 6'9 10 or 11 - at least! And so laid back. He's got to start shooting some hoops, man. The Dutch national team awaits!
Great, Robert and Misha explain how good the GR Yaris has become after all the modifications and then they choose the best car for a round on the Nordschleife, the Chevy pick-up truck :-)
You guys need to start selling new cars modified in the way you have the Yaris, and call it the "Apex edition" 🤣🤣🤣 Good job! I would think the lower seating position (which so many manufacturers get wrong, i.e. to high) feels much better? and the KW suspension, of which I fitted a set of coil-over V2 many years ago, transformed my car and gave it 50% -60% more confidence over the other suspension I had tried and trust me I had been through lots and could be considered an expert for that car 🤣! Am I right in thinking you went with KW because they TUV approved? Either way epic job and well done to all involved! Keep the vids coming! Cheers! 👍
I much prefer you guys driving and talking about 'achievable' cars. Ferraris and mclarens are all very well and great i'm sure but they leave me cold. I like the underdog.
That's awesome that you ordered another GR Yaris. Looks really good in red too! I was wondering, would you ever want to go racing yourself in for example RCN? Or have you maybe answered that question before in a video?
@@RobertMitchell I have been subscribed for about 6 months now, and didn't really hear you talk about it. With the new RCN season it made me wonder if you ever felt like going racing yourself. Looking forward to that video!
Cheers for the explanation of the work on the GR - excellent format! Shame I missed out on a key ring - my brother in Australia just took delivery of his GR Yaris on Saturday (loves it) and I would have loved to have got him one but oh well! BTW Robert - how is your Groundies Deal Going? Today is my first day of wearing my new pair Hamburgs based on your recommendation..... You should have a deal as I never would have considered. Cheers
Hey Scott. Congrats to your brother on his new car I’m sure he’s going to love it :-) I’m still enjoying the shoes although the brand deal has never taken off LOL.
Great Video as Always! Congrats to the second Yaris! Again from Michael? Which mods so you plan? Which Car from your fleet is the one with the highest and the lowest fuel ratio in the Nordschleife?
@@RobertMitchell this is the risk of course, although you managed to stay away from a red 488 Pista so maybe we get lucky. Keen to see your thoughts on the GR 86 when you get your hands on it
Watched some RU-vid videos of the car being Rally prepped in Australia I think, with full cage installed and plenty of room for helmeted driver and nav. No explanation of how they mounted the seats though.
I do like the Yaris as is, but if it had a 1600 4AGE 20V, that would just make it completely unbeatable in any class. 4AGE has lots of support, and an enthusiast can bring it to 2 liter quite easily. I think the point of Toyota making cars it to make large volume sales, and a 4AGE would sell more once the initial demand for these cars are met.
Have you guys looked at replacing the battery with a light weight option? I heard you can save 10-15kg by replacing it, definitely worth having a look at.
Love that little car I’ve still got 10 months minimum to wait before mine turns up. Been lucky to have a lot of nice cars over the last few years but never have I been so excited! 👌🏻🤟🏻
Still not available in the US so can only be envious. :-) In the US, everyone would have just made new brackets unlike Germany where everything is papered.
Brake pad comparison and chat video coming?! 😍 It'd be awesome if you did a UUHP and semi-slick tyre test and discussion colab with Jonathan of Tyre Reviews.
@@relentlesspursuit6894 Mm may well do don't know how long delivery is from initial order in uk will look into it, also wonder if they'll hold value with all this ev hype in yrs to come
Ok, imagine that you are all by yourself, without cameras or anyone in the passanger seat. Wich car would you prefer to go for a lap after a bad day: GT86 or Yaris?
First channel Ive ever clicked the bell icon for... gutted I didn’t get a rocker arm. Btw I’ve also ordered 2 Yaris’ in red and white...I still can’t decide which to keep and which to sell... I’m leaning towards the red 🚗 Which colour do you prefer Robert? (Or should that be color 😂)
I’m in wales 🏴 in the uk.... home of rallying!! Yea there’s a lot of call for them but currently about 10 on eBay anywhere between 36-39k sterling.
Hi Robert, Can you me if the JRZ Tractive suspension has been a success or whether you prefer the old v3 setup. I’m wanting a nicer ride when normal road driving and stronger setup when sprinting the GR Yaris. Feedback appreciated. 🙏
@@RobertMitchell you can buy a new GR Yaris with that! And wrap your E30 to cherry! That's eye-watering!😂😭 of course 59.999 pieces of 1 dollar is crazy!
If possible I would like to know the max seat width achievable with this mounting solution. For example an Omp Wrc-R XL could be fitted in? Thank you, nice content!
The gr yaris so yang, but the moded part list is growing by every day,and most of them are non tested, or I should say, not spoken about. So yeh prices would be nice, that way I would have a bench mark for comparison 🤔🤔
Why does GR Yaris have a such wide rear width? how does that translate into driving characteristics? I suspect that it is more common to approach for RWD but not so much for AWD?
It is only 36 mm wider at the back 1536 mm front and 1572 mm at the back. Nothing to think about. It is only how it looks like. I took it from the official datasheet. Regards from Switzerland.
Alright. Not knowing how to open the trunk. Nah. No way. That's very unacceptable....hehe. Just kidding. All fine. Thanks for the video. Always great to know about all these mods. Now I have to say I really miss those times when changing exhaust was like adding a truck sound to an already loud engine. 20 years ago was great. Damaged mufflers? People would laugh or make jokes about it...well. Actually, in Portugal, it's still possible to have something old fashion way loud (I think). It's not so hard yet.
