Grabs is located in the Rhine Valley between Buchs in the south and Gams in the north. It touches in the west the Toggenburg community of Wildhaus-Alt St. Johann, in the south the community of Sevelen, and in the southwest the community of Walenstadt. The municipality of Grabs includes the extensive scattered settlements on the Grabserberg and the Studnerberg as well as the town of Werdenberg.
