This video tells the story of a parent and childs relationship. The father is playing a piano which symbolises the control that he has over the child and willingness he has to play with their emotions. In the second half of the video the two characters leave frame and I sit at the piano and play out the rest of the song. This represents the reclaiming of power and control over my own life. ‘You took my youth for weakness but I’m not a child no more, ill give you forgiveness but I’m not a fool’. This song means a lot to me and I hope you love it as much as I do!🤍

I relate totally. I'm almost 70yrs of age and I remember seeing my Father around the age of 5 and never again. That memory is all I have of him. He was a married man when my mom had an affair with him which produce me. For me, the pain still lingers.

This song is so relatable to everyone that has gone through similar stuff as a child. It really made me think and realize how I feel and that I have a reason to feel the way I do!

I've been struggling with the former SO MUCH. Grace, you gave my brain a voice. I'm thankful that I heard this song ❤

I remember discovering you just before quarantine and you never cease to amaze me with your singing and song writing talent. While I can't relate to this song as my dad has always been a part of my life and always treated me like a princess; I can't help but feel sad for anyone who has been abandoned by someone who should love them unconditionally.
