The strongest memory I have from the show was that after her family rushed the stage and eventually start walking off she stopped and looked out at the crowd and she seemed to really be taking in the moment and just enjoyed it and took it in. I loved that she did that.

The thing I really enjoyed hearing her say is that she’ll one day, in the future sometime, want to become a full fledged producer. I really believe, and actually have always believed that she would make a truly great producer. She’s so far outside the standard box that music seems to fall into that she could help people really take their music where they may not have ever thought about going. She’s going to be a monster in whatever path she decides to walk down. I look forward to her future.

I look forward to the day when Grace's AGT days don't take up so much interview time. But I'm sure there are new fans who don't know the story and would welcome a 'refresher' on that era, and Scott Lipps does a great job covering a lot of territory. AGT is such a minor moment to me because the show itself isn't what made Grace talented. Most of the people who appear on that show never do anything afterward. Grace moved on because she had the talent to move on and keep people interested. There was a crazy lot going on with Grace pre-covid, so it seemed tragic when the lockdown interrupted that forward momentum. The most interesting story to me is how that period affected her creative process. I would love for someone to take a deep dive on the music she created during that time, and how coming of age in isolation might have affected her in ways she hadn't foreseen.

@@barbaracastille2149 Of course she's right and your right but I don't think the interview was for our benefit, everything Grace does is directed at kids. I think it's up to us to spread the word to kids that VanderWaal clubs, Vandals, Sam, Tribe and Tom videos exists. I've seen some videos that show that entertainers sit down with the interviewers people to discuss what is to be discussed so Grace had to agree with that line of questions and topics. Obviously the Toronto interview was Grace running around on that day to a school then CTV studio so there were no negotiations, I think she was invited to CTV at the last minute and Grace said "sure." I often wonder if Grace does no negotiations at any interview, she just runs in and says "shoot" not caring were it goes, we are the only ones that do.

Funny listening to the original story of her try out for AGT and then the crazy conspiracy theory people who say that AGT went to Grace's home after watching her Frosty the Snowman video then setting up her AGT appearance like they didn't know her. Great humility down playing her gift. Grace, kids at 3 don't compose songs off the top of their head when they have a karaoke mic in their hands. Only natural born songwriters do that. Well her music over the last 6 years shows she has a bit of dozens of past great singers. She's more versatile than Taylor and she could punch off a Taylor like song in minutes but she's not into that type of music. Taylor is perfect for comparison because they are not talking about her style they're talking about how huge she will be in a few years All we have to do is wait for the singers that are distracting people from looking at her right now to retire. Think was an excellent interview, Grace seemed relaxed and enjoying herself, this type of interview gets Grace's name out in the public. This was one of the better interviews of Grace, most interviewers want to talk about AGT and nothing else. Interesting tidbits, there is a new EP coming out as well as another single before the EP. When asked about future acting roles in movies and TV series Grace said she could talk about it, which translates as a big yes. So think she will be back on this show again. The title has a mistake. Saying "hitting her pinnacle" is saying she reached the highest point of success that she's going to achieve. She is going to be way above that. We are talking about one of the greatest of our time , the only other that comes close is Prince. This isn't my opinions, i'm just being honest

I'm confused, is it a EP or an LP that is being released? Cool interview!
@Jeff_674
@Jeff_674 2 года назад
I think the interviewer might have made a mistake and Grace just didn't correct him. Grace said a few months ago that it would be a 7 song EP, so unless something has changed since then, I'm assuming that is still the plan.
