I love how he blames Grace's relationship with Will killing their marriage and not the fact that he was never in the same country as her, constantly signing up to leave without so much as talking to her or necessarily giving her a heads up, and eventually cheating on her.

even still, i know i would be very uncomfortable in a relationship with someone who was that close to another person. gay or not. it doesn't matter. no, he doesn't need to blame it but it would have still been a factor. she had shown and proven over time she had been closer to will than leo nearly the entire time. it was very possible he got lonely and felt like she couldn't really trust and rely on him like she could and would to will and felt led to someone else. yes, cheating is wrong. yes, leo made a mistake. but that doesn't mean there are not other factors in play. in this case. her way too close relationship with will. I get his side. Even just her rection when she walked into the apartment. Sorry, but leo does have right to blame some of their marriage loss to will and grace

Later on in the episode he admits that Will wasn't the reason their marriage ended. It was because she always brought up him cheating on her during their first marriage that it made it clear she couldn't trust him during their second marriage.

Yep, cause Grace having a reliable friendship was the problem, it couldn't possibly be that Grace always chose him over Will but Leo could never do the same and then cheated on her

I remember Leo also never really tried to bond with Will. He never tried to understand or sympathise. It was more “oh ok your one of her oldest friends, ok”.

Leo just did not understanding that some people who are your friends become your family. Leo was always threatened by how much they leaned on each other for emotional support and how much Grace really need that. Leo was with doctors without borders and he could bonded with Will and been grateful she had the support she needed even if it wasn't coming from you. I know you want to be as much as you can be to your partner. But sometimes loving someone is allow them to be happy and supported even if it doesn't always come from you.

@@jessieb7290 What about Will he never tried to bond with Leo either he never truly excepted him in Grace’s life. Looking back on the show Will could’ve been a little more excepting a considerate to Leo instead of giving him the cold shoulder every chance he got. I think Will felt threatened by him being Grace’s life because no man is ever been good enough for his Grace an turns it out Leo wasn’t enough for Grace.

What about Grace her heart wasn’t in the marriage either she turned to Will for comfort an support instead of talking things through with Leo. I don’t think Grace ever really loved Leo not as much he loved her and he did love her and he cheated on her.

Even if there’s truth to Leo’s words it doesn’t erase his part in the failure of their relationship. It doesn’t surprise me though I doubt cheaters ever take responsibility for their actions

Will and Grace are a bonded pair. Bonded pairs aren't glued by carnality. If you wish to date one of a pair, just accept that the other is part of the deal. If Grace had the same Bond with a woman, Leo wouldn't have cared - unless he's a person in need of being the absolute centre of his partner's everything

That’s true. Me and my sister are very close and she’s married now. Her husband understood that he needed to bond with me, for the relationship to be long lasting....not saying that’s the only reason they’re together. They love each other deeply, but he gained my respect and affection, and I couldn’t be more proud of both of them. I also really get along with his mother. My own mother chooses not to bond with his family. When a pair of people are bonded it must be scary trying to be part of that and hoping things will work out. Scary, but not impossible. That reminds me as well of me talking to a friend a while back and her boyfriend interjected a comment and she snapped at him for interrupting. He defended himself and said he just wanted to be part of the conversation. So a member of the bonded pair can become defensive. So I wonder if that’s off putting to some people. It’s weird I loved Graces’ husband when he was first introduced. But the fact they devolved his character into a self centred narcissist, was just weird. I guess over time they didn’t know what to do with his character. He cheated and blamed whatever he could on her for his action.

The guy who signed up for extra trips for Doctors Without Borders without bothering to have a discussion with his wife at all before making such another big work commitment pretty much back to back and then CHEATED on her when he was gone wants to blame Will for his marriage to Grace breaking up?! That’s ridiculous! Way to take not ANY responsibility for cheating on your spouse breaking up your marriage at all! Geez! 🙄🙄

No, Leo was just whining and shifting the blame. First of all, Will is Grace's lifelong friend, of course she would confide in him. Secondly, Leo was never around and did not even consult with Grace or give her a heads up on his plans. Third, he CHEATED. So no, Leo was the main contributing factor to their divorce.

Not really, or how do you explain Karen and Jack being in their lives? If someone was to come into either of their lives then that person would need to really get along with the one they’re not dating as well. Leo’s character was narcissistic, but because of the charm/ playfulness etc, you don’t notice so much.

On some level Leo was right about there relationship the Marriage. Grace couldn’t get a relationship with Leo and it was not because of her friendship with Will or Leo being with Doctors Without Borders, it was because she didn’t love Leo not as much Leo loved Grace he probably felt second best to Will being such a big part of Grace’s life, it doesn’t excuse the fact he cheated on her. Originally The Final Season Grace admits she kept pushing Leo away every time he got to close an last episode of Will & Grace Season 8 The Finale she said Leo was the love of her life. In the Reboot it turns out he wasn’t the love of her life after all.

Leo was trash. I don't understand all of this current whitewashing that he was some great guy. Grace had other, better boyfriends. Harry Connick is awesome and a great actor, and he deserved better than this shallow, narcissistic character. And blaming Will for Grace's marriage failing really is so much nonsense. Regardless of whatever Will thought about Leo, he was supportive of their relationship. It was Grace who always flaked and then unloaded Will when a possibility of a man who might sleep with her presented himself. She chose her boyfriend over Will every single time, but somehow Will was the problem and he should have been nicer to men he realized wouldn't be around long? Or maybe he should have been more understanding when Grace slept with his boss. Or his brother. Grace was a crap friend who needed Will far more than he needed her.
