Gracie Fields, Now is the Hour, 1958 TV Performance 

I'm 23 and work with elderly patients. I always sing at work and they are amazed that I know all these old songs. My answer is I have good taste in music.

Loved listening to this beautiful song after ages. Brought back memories of my mother and father and aunts.

I recently 'revealed' in a BBC Radio phone in that whilst I had attended very many 'musical' theatre events:- inc First performance of 'West Side Story' in the UK with Rita Moreno at M/crs Opera House; I had only attended one Concert which was Gracie Fields at the 'Kings Hall' Belle Vue M/cr in 1956/57? I was 18yrs old and as a kid Gracie singing this during the 'War Years' used to make me cry! - what a big softie!!
