I just want to say thank you so much. This video is better than the one on the official site for the company. You've saved this young tired dad so much headache. Thank you!! And good luck with the three babies!
Awe thank you! I’m so glad it helped! It was mostly for myself so I don’t forget how to do it when I take it apart again in a few months. We just had our 4th so about to get another one of these suckers haha.
I just want to say THANK YOU!!! I was struggling with the side pieces. The official graco video did a poor job explaining it. You gave a perfect demonstration. Thanks again!
You’re so welcome! I made it just for my own use since I only do it every 6 months or so and couldn’t remember how to do it and there weren’t any videos on it. All the videos were fake apart not reassemble. Glad it helped!
Thanks so much!!! This was a breeze to put back together because of your video! It has been sitting for a week cause I couldn’t figure it out or find directions in the manual until I looked it up on RU-vid!
The particular one I used isn’t made anymore but there’s tons of options on Amazon. Here’s a link to one that looks similar: Child Car Seat Saver Waterproof Liner by Lebogner - 100% Leak Free Pad for Baby Stroller, Piddle Pad for Potty Training Toddlers, Car Seat Liner with Anti Slip Vinyl Backing www.amazon.com/dp/B01MTY6Y87/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_C1QMY41AY6YGYGSX8XGC
Fits perfectly rear-facing in our truck, which has a slightly smaller back seats. ru-vid.comUgkx6_FKRYB2ClSPRyjcd8HptiCS3EiQoNX4 Feels as comfy and plush as our Graco Contender carseat.
Omg thank you for this video lol. My car seat is a newer version how ever it pretty much has the same bits . Well explained and not faffy video thabk you
Can the seat straps come off? My kid threw up and the seat straps got super messy. I'm trying to take off the straps to wash them, but I can't figure how to take them off😣
Thank you so much! As a grandma, I share the chair. To help my daughter, I washed the inserts. I thought I would remember how to put it back together. Also, I did have that extra little piece on the top, so thanks for mentioning it. You are awesome! God bless you, your little ones, and your family!
I’m glad it helped you! I made it for myself since I could never find one like it and I can’t remember how to do it when it a been a year. Glad it has helped so many.
This company is so dumb that we need this wonderfully nice video. Why are there so many people saying they are in literal tears! Graco! Do better. We’re freaking parents and don’t have time for this!
That’s a good point! How does a huge company like this it have better instructional videos? Why did I have to watch a million videos of different models to try a pieces together how to do this with their best selling and most expensive model?
You’re welcome!! Glad it was helpful. Honestly I made it so I could remember how to put it back together myself since I do it like every 6 months and couldn’t find videos on it. Unfortunately Our truck was stolen with our FOUR graco4evers in it and insurance doesn’t cover replacement. So I don’t even own one now. I’m just glad it’s helping people still! Feel free to send a coffee, Im a total Dunkin’ and Starbucks addict since I homeschool 4 kids 🫠😵💫🥱🤪 jenniferallen730@gmail.com
Thank you!! Although mine was a slightly different model, this helped tremendously getting everything back together months after I had taken it apart to wash! I'm just an aunt so have been making due with a regular booster but have a road trip coming up and needed the real deal for highway travel with a wild child! 🥰
Yay glad it helped! I wash mine every few months and have to rewatch my own video just to remember how to do it. It’s the only reason I made the video and I’m shocked that people are actually watching it and finding my rambles helpful.
@@jenniferallen1223 yes, absolutely helpful!! 😊 My model doesn't have all the separate pieces that yours does, you're a Saint to wash and assemble that mess that often!!! Haha
THANK YOU!! Like everyone said, this is exactly what I was searching for. And I’m ordering the yellow pad immediately so we don’t have to do this again!
Ok where did you get the yellow seat cover insert!!!??? I absolutely need 20 of them now. And you saved me from losing my mind with this car seat. I thought I was never going to get it put together again!
Lol. I just finished assembly and was so proud of myself. I thought I’d check a video. 65% if I had a test. I’m glad I know which side of the baby is up…
Question i dont see video for backless booster. Does it camp or secure to seat or just sits there loose and car seat belt secures child into seat. Kinda wondering if it secures.

Thanks for guidance, as a single father of 15mo twins, I got 2 of these with no manual, had to disassemble and deep clean, I appreciate you taking the time to do this!
First off I’d like to thank you a bunch!!! I was this so many times taking it apart and putting back together for the first time. I stumbled upon this video because our baby had a few accidents in the carseat. My wife thought she had cleaned all of the mess but she was wrong. The car seat currently REEKS of old urine almost like a cat’s pee smell. We figured it out after a few hours in the car on a road trip. We’ve washed all the cloths but the smell is still there (within the actual car seat) I’ve aired it out / left outside for a full day, I’ve wiped down with Lysol and I dowsed the entire car seat with Lysol spray. It helped a little but that strong smell is still there and I’m at a loss. As you mentioned in your video, you had to do this for 3 of your car seats. In your parent experience, have you experienced this before with this exact car seat and what advice would you recommend us? This car seat was a couple hundred bucks so I would hate to get an entirely new one but I’m afraid that’s the only answer.
Did you mean the plastic car seat itself smells bad or the fabric? I always run all the fabric through the washing machine and the dryer and it comes out great. If you’ve tried that you can try soaking it in OxiClean, and then running it through the wash. If the plastic itself is smelling bad, you could probably use a bleach solution to wipe it all down and let it air dry. Bleach kills most bad smells.
Seriously just knock the shit out of it. I usually make a fist and pound it up when it’s installed. You can flip the whole seat over and pound down on it down too.
Yeah the definitely do. I have to run mine in the dishwasher all the time due to my kids making nasty soups in there. Pounding it with a fist does the trick.
No body ever shows where the harness straps attach to when they are completely off the seat. I am lost. We got this car seat for free, secondhand, and the straps were completely removed. I am trying to figure out where the bottom end of the straps attach beneath the seat. I can see the "top" end goes through the top of the seat, over the back bar and hooks to the splitter plate, but where does the bottom end go? Any help is appreciated. I've watched videos everywhere, graco, RU-vid, etc., and all anyone shows is putting it back together with the straps already on.
The strap that holds the splitter plate should be permanently attached. If your splitter plate is not attached it shouldn’t be used. The it to a fire station and ask them how to install. They can inspect it if it is defective.
@jenniferallen1223 the splitter plate is attached. There are two ends to the straps. One end goes to the splitter plate, the other end goes to the car seat itself. I have no idea where on the car seat it attaches. None of these videos show this information.
