Hello, may I ask what made your grad application stand out despite your low GPA. Are extracurricular activities ( volunteering/ leadership...) Important for grad application??
Heyyy, you got this!!! A lot of people are going through the same process and you are definitely not alone! I had the very same doubts as well but I found focusing on the application itself rather than thinking about the results helped me to tame my anxiety a little bit. Trust in the process and yourself 💖🙏
How was your first year at CM? Congrats on getting in! I have 7 applications out for the Fall and have heard back from 2 with acceptance offers. I understand the stress! I check my email about 50 times a day. Did you ever hear back from the final schools? If so what did they say?
Congratz on the 2 offers!! That’s so exciting and I can totally relate with the email checking obsession 😂. Yes the schools I haven’t heard back after Georgia tech were a no at the end. And my first year is going well, just hope I can get more sleep lol
I'm an international student from Saudi Arabia, and I'm planning to apply for NYU, Boston, Berkeley for 2023, I can pretty much say that I'm going through the same journey -my GPA is low too -3.53/4- and would really like your advice about it. Thank you, and congratulations!!
Thank you!! Your GPA is NOT low haha, try to get into research/internships/volunteers in your field since they don't really care about grades! (get involved in projects that you can later talk about in your resume/and SOP). Hope that helps and best of luck!!
Wow! Congrats on NYU. I got into NYU for a graduate degree in 1983. My Dad had a BS and MA from Columbia, but, he did get into Harvard for graduate degree, we moved back to NY. I would go to NYU, but if you got into Columbia, go there.
@@EriaSrofeca rejected LOL. It’s ok. As a broke international student it’s expected. I’ll re-apply as a transfer in two years cause I am stubborn and i would really like to go.
i had a 2.3 GPA out of undergrad and got into 90% of all the grad programs I applied to. I finished my masters in 2019. Apply for the grad certificate program FIRST and transfer after the first few courses.
Hiw did get accepted with a low gpa? In other words what made you stand out? (Experience?) Also how long do u have to decide? Sorry one more question, did u zoom for interveiws?
higher than yours ;) haha just kidding. But I bet that's what we're all thinking... because presumably we are all self-deprecating and high enough in anxiety to youtube this topic :(
im applying for fall 2023, as much as I like CMU. it is very expensive, i also have low gpa 2.97, but i did some research, and have a lot of personal projects. Just want to get in ga tech :) for ECE. How did you get all professor to write you 4-6 recommendation letter?
Hi, I only needed to provide 3 letters. I mentioned how did I get my recommendation letters in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q05rGv4vMgA.html. Feel free to check it out :)
@@gameon8999 THanks for the information, I am currently in my 7th semester, doing bechlors currently have 3.44 trying to increase as i can. But I dont know if its enough or not.
How can I get into ivy league in 2025 when I have 2.62 gpa (out of 4) in my bachelor's (only because I didn't study well 🤧)? How can I improve myself in 1 drop year? Which type of internships, exams, extra courses, other stuffs should I take??
Congrats on everything!!! I applied last year for the MA Media, Culture and Communication on NYU but didn't get in. I got wrong some transcripts, as I'm not from the US. But definetly I will try again.
I have a GPA of 3.5 and I have 5 publications, 1 year of lab experience and programming skills. I still haven't got response for any of my emails. Some professors don't respond at all and rest did not have an open position so far. I am super stressed and really tired.
hey congratulations for the admission.....really appreciate that..... i wanna ask that - 1-can you just suggest what's the main thing you wrote in your SOP and? 2- how you managed to get and LOR ? 3-and how much time you took to write SOP ? 4- how much time they took to provide an LOR? 5- what exams you have taken for The MS course? these questions are really important for me because i have to register and apply to the universities and i need some good guidance like from you .....i would really appreciate it if you could spare some time on my question.....please .....❤️..... loved your content......

The time is also little.please help me out.
Heyy there’s always possibilities! But just high GRE and IELTS might not be sufficient. Make sure your resume stands out with relevant research/job experience.
