I've watched horse racing for 35 years. I still can't see when they switch leads. Kinda embarrassing to admit but it's true. I've tried. I notice when it looks like they switch gears but as far as seeing the switch, I don't necessarily see it. It's disappointing.
This is one of my favorite races of the year. Mike and Dan are great! They both hit an exacta, they both had the cold exacta in the FOURSTARDAVE G1 at Saratoga recently, although one had the winner and the other had the 2nd place horse on top (Carl Spackler/More Than Looks), and though it only paid $18 bucks for a $2 exacta, still pretty awesome they both had it. People have asked me if their ROI is good, and I don't know because I don't track it, but it must be well above average, as they both know what they are talking about for sure! We are lucky DRF does these, and frankly these stakes previews go a long way in me wanting to purchase the race cards, as other than the DRF Races of the Day which PP's are free, it is awesome to see these previews for stakes races and again helps me and frankly pushes me to purchase the cards! The Alabama is not the Race of the Day but this field is still high quality, even without Thorpedo Anna, and as Mike and Dan say, makes it an intriguing race in her absence from a betting standpoint! Thanks Mike and Dan!
The last time Mike and Dan had the same exacta (although they had them swapped in order) was the FOURSTARDAVE and they nailed it, so to me the 4-7 seems like a reasonable bet to make.
