I see that you have some trouble selecting the feature line on some objects ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ssaLb9P2-qk.html , you can actually toggle the Selection Cycling "on" by pressing CTRL+W then select the area where your feature line is and a dialogue box will pop and you can see there the objects within that area. and you can now select the objects you want easily. just don't forget to toggle it "off" by using the same CTRL+W (its gonna be annoying if you wont toggle it off) this should save you a lot of time!
