I heard some critics of Wemby saying he couldn't win games. The reality San Antonio was 6-4 in his last 10 games. He averaged 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists. He also averaged 4 blocks. The guy is legit.
Dude. Scoot turned 20 in February. Give him time. He played on an awful team with tons of injuries. You can see the potential and the immaturity when you watch him live.
Wemby is "HIM" already. Should win DPOY for sure. Now Brandon Miller is fun to watch. His athleticism is so fluid. No clunky moves or clumsiness in his game. Him and Melo could be amazing, time will tell.
@@CC-ix8nn Its an individual award with an "Unwritten" team award attached to it. His Plus Minus is way higher then Gobert and everyone else who was up for the award. We gotta revise these awards "Qualifiers" cause one man wins the award not a team. If Gobert wins I wont be mad at it though.
San Antonio was 6-4 the last 10 games Wemby played in. He also averaged insane numbers in that same period. The kid is 20 years old and averaged 26 points and 12 rebounds his last 10 games. Once Pop was done experimenting, they began to win. Sochan just isn't primary ball handling material. Jones is above average at best. Imagine this team with a star point guard.
@@brianbadonde9251 plus minus is a stat that determines your value on the floor and off the floor. Impacted only by your individual performance on and off. This is a individual stat.
no mention for gradey? had a terrible start but improved a lot during the last half/third of the season. excited to see how he‘ll have developed after next season
As a Raptors fan, I see Gradey as incomplete. I like the growth we saw from him and excited Darko seems to be living up to his development reputation. I just need to know if he can repeat that when they are trying to win games.
@@carlocalingasan998 Dick completely turned his season around and averaged 12.5 ppg on 40% from 3 for the last 30 games of the season. That might not be earth shattering but it's very very far from being bad enough to get a 13th pick who is only 20 years old washed out of the league.
Scoots “grade” was very harsh imo. Anyone who’s actually watched Scoot over the year, isn’t very worried about him. Finished averaging 14/3/5.5 with 60% TS over his last 10 games. He’ll be just fine 🔥👍🏽
@@carlocalingasan998you’re telling me he can’t develop a shot over the next 10-15 years of his career? already has the athleticism, defense, iq , and strength of a all star caliber player
Wemby is one of a few top 3 picks that was instantly known to be a star in the making in the last few years. The only other ones I think in the last 7 or 8 years are Luka, Tatum, Banchero, Ant, maybe couple others were immediately obvious future stars. Most other picks are either obvious busts, or guys who take awhile to blossom, or guys who look like they'll be good but not great. Chet could be in the immediate star category, but the injury fears about him were kinda the immediate takeaway from the start of his career missing all of year 1 so he isn't in my immediate category.
Great video brother!! Scoot Henderson should have gone to college his game looks poorly developed. I was one of very few people who didn’t think his game would translate well, hopefully he gets better
Scoot averaged 18.6 points and 8.4 assists in his last 10 games. Yeah, he needs to improve his finishing and cut down his turnovers, but he was a rookie playing point guard, arguably playing the most difficult position in the NBA at 19 years old. I think he's a victim of too high of expectations, including myself. But he's not a bust by any means.
He looked like a legit number 1 pick before the draft. It's not like he was overrated. He just regressed so quickly, maybe something mental or the bug that hit Markelle Fultz..
As someone who wanted someone else (George), Black has tremendous potential, and, even though it was on low volume, he shot 39% from 3 and clearly has good shooting mechanics. Idk if he’ll be a primary creator, but he can definitely handle the ball, pass, and Is a great defender.
Some will call it glazing, but Wemby has goat potential imo. Not saying he finishes his career anywhere near that level, but from what we’ve seen already, if he plays 15 years in the league, he might come away with 10 DPOYs, 4+ MVPs, and enough rings to get him in the conversation. Kids an alien.
You really shouldn’t title your video with the wording grading in capital letters if you’re not going to actually give a grade. It’s comes off as clickbait or misleading to the audience.
He graded them, just not with a letter grade. If you are graded on a 0-100 scale, you're still graded without a letter grade. It's still misleading though, I agree.
Was wondering your thoughts on Trayce Jackson-Davis? I know the warriors were a mess this season but he really showed some promise during his rookie season given that he was the second to last pick of the draft.
Anthony Black literally shot better in his first season in the NBA than he did in his only year in college. I don't think you are very fair in your critique. He clearly didn't get the ball in his hands and he didn't get consistent playing time the whole season. Lets be a little more fair to him and Scoot Henderson. Point guard is not the easiest position to hold.
Scoot was really solid the last 2+ months of the season. He’s 19 years old and a point guard, Not like he’s a forward. Have we ever seen a 19 year old have a very good rookie year? Let alone a guard?
Wembanyama is definitely skilled, but he has thrived because much of the league has become so allergic to physicality, negating his disadvantage (at this stage) of being so skinny. Defensively, his length and agility are difference makers, but the league has gotten used to playing offense with as minimal of opposition from defenses that consistently contesting shots/passing in it of itself is unusual.
In a normal year Brandon Miller could have been the ROY. Obviously the true freak Wemby eliminated that seemingly on day one, but Charlotte doesn't usually make good decisions.
The Scoot talk was booboo! Do more research before making a video like this! Dude consistently got better every month of the season. What do you expect from a teenager that skipped college playing at the hardest position in the league on a team full of inconsistent lineups with tons of injuries. He'll be just fine give the kid some time.
@@blablablaa14 yes I believe they will learn to shoot. Bt its 100% based on the team they are will and how they use them. Look at how they used Amen Thompson the last 25 games vs how they used Ausar Thompson on the Pistons. THese dudes are capable of averaging 20, 10reb, and 6 assists in their prime and while being Kawhi level defensive players. And thats with a decent jumper.
Scoot started playing better towards the end of the season. I’ll give him a pass, he’s very young, plus Portland has a mess of guards and me first players.
If he stays healthy, Wemby’s record of DPOY awards will be almost as unbreakable as LeBron’s points record. That man could genuinely retire with 10, I don’t think voter’s fatigue will even be applicable because picking any other candidate would be blasphemy
I’m not entirely sure why for MVP we value winning and team success but all of a sudden for Wemby there’s people who think leading a team to 22 wins and a 21st ranked defence warrants a DPOY. Of course Wemby is probably the only reason it’s 21st and not 30th but still, we don’t give awards to players for not leading their teams to anything like the MVP or All NBA selections usually. I feel like it would be unfair to guys like Gobert and Bam who’ve through their defence led their teams to great defensive seasons. While Wemby individually is great, he’s led the team to nothing and I don’t think that really warrants him to get a DPOY cause his stats are great. Feel like Gobert and Bams defence have actually translated to wins while the Spurs were basically tanking the season. He’ll get DPOYs in the future but I think to warrant that award you need to have team success especially with regards to defence.
Scoot was drafted by the wrong team. He should’ve gone 5th to Houston. He’s on a team with 3 other good guards and not enough minutes to go around for him to develop
Yes, he did but it's still not the same scoot we saw pre-nba and during the Vegas exhibition against Wemby. I remember him winning battles against Wemby but those fire somehow disappeared
Really bad take on Scoot in a variety of ways. Why would you have expected a rookie PG to be stellar right away? That hardly happens. Why would he have had lots of offensive opportunities on a team with Simons, Sharpe, J Grant, Ayton…all those guys are getting shots before scoot. Also…he got significantly better as the season went on. Night and day better. If you listen to people who actually know basketball, they’re not concerned about Scoot at all. In fact they’re optimistic about him moving forward.
Wemby is already on cloud nine with the best coach in history he can become the best player in history meanwhile scoot we won’t remember Scoot Henderson in 4 years if he doesn’t turn it around fast
God bless! Jesus Christ is King and saves and is the way! Psalms 62 - "Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken." ✝🤍💪 Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."✝🤍💪
I gotta say it and I know most of you agree. Your videos have progressively been getting worse and worse. You don’t even do what you say you are going to. “Grade the rookie class”. Then you give ZERO grades!!! That’s called click baiting. That’s a one way ticket to losing 90% of your audience. Why not take the extra 15 minutes to go 1-30. Is it really that hard? Kinda a joke
