Bartow police officer Markanthony Fernandez, 24, was accused of giving alcohol and THC to a teenage friend group he met on social media, Sheriff Grady Judd said in a news conference Wednesday.
He will get a police job in a different state, all the foreigners that are coming through from different countries, they just hire thousand for the IRS in Washington DC. Now they are becoming cops, you like your new America now?
@Chinaglo24 so... clearly distribution of child porn to other officers.... They should all be investigated and the phones confiscated as evidence but they will go out of the way to cover for each other.... Just look at the guy in San Diego who got locked on the back seat with a female suspect.... he resigned before they could fire him and he has not been charged with anything.
@@shaquanjamison8161 Sounds like you're either too stupid to understand the assertion, or too dishonest to acknowledge it. You haven't been taking the horse paste, have you son?
Exactly. If he felt comfortable enough to share this.. I suspect there’s more bs going on within that department. He just probably crossed a line that wasn’t clear until now.
How about the blue? Where are those that back the blue or something? Usual suspects…. Stats are only what’s reported.. you’d be surprised… who the usual suspects are and it’s more than 13%….
Another horrible case involving underage girls being taken advantage of. Stephen Sterns with Madeline Soto. Makes me sick to my stomach. Yet you have some politicians passing laws that do not protect young children, girls and women from incest and rape. Passing laws like that is promoting more of these predators to do what they are doing. Absolutely disturbing and disgusting.
Refused to resign??? Why would they ask or offer for him to resign!!!??? Fired and any benefits: retirement, etc should be removed. And lets not forget jail, justice, prison.
He's not been convicted yet, firing a union member before conviction is extremely difficult. In order to expedite his departure they'll offer resignation.
Two things, police union and due process. As much as we would like to immediate results, he’s entitled to the same due process. But remember, when he goes to jail, he will get what’s coming to him.
Yep. Had he not been caught now, he may have escalated to serial murder to get his jollies, and he would have been able to do it with the benefit of a Badge. I'm willing to bet that eventually, women/girls would have started disappearing had he not been caught.
I have never voted and probably never will… but in all seriousness if Grady Judd ran for president I would absolutely 150% vote for him. He is the most amazingly honest, straight as a arrow… do it by the book..by the law… no covering up for his ‘boys in blue’ when they do wrong…. He is what every officer should be. He is someone I have the utmost respect for. 💚
Pisses me off, that even after this behavior has been discovered, that he is given the option to resign or stay employed! I don't care if he's guilty or not, that behavior should not be allowed be a police officer!!
@@grammadee94 Sorry Grandma, but you haven't stayed up on things. They just go down the road a piece and get another cop gig. It why so many others are up in arms over with these guys getting off.
Resign vs Termination is typically offered by leadership as a way to arrive at the same result with less paperwork. Less work for leadership to accept a resignation versus creating a case to terminate an employee protected by the police union. Also if the employee resigns they’re often still eligible for retirement benefits, pension, etc. Unreal.
He said he was being reported to a federal law enforcement something I think he's on a will be on a list to never be hired for any kind police work, and probably he's going to be in jail
It's just a formality. I work for the government and can tell you that he's only getting paid leave in THIS case because someone before him in a different case WASN'T being paid during an investigation and was probably found innocent then sued for the post wages. So the big bureaucrats up top made the decision to pay folks under investigation until they are actually found guilty to avoid having to pay out the nose later and bankrupting tax payers with the cost of litigation. Realistically, he shouldn't get a dime. But since paying him is policy, he has rights to the money...the bastard.
I don’t understand the “protocols “. He made the videos and showed them to his co-workers. Seems to me he should have been immediately arrested and fired! He sure doesn’t deserve paid leave!
The “criminal “ justice department (because it’s FOR the criminals) have lots of ‘rules’ that have to be followed else charges can’t stick. What a sick person .
Cops get special protections no matter how heinous the charges against them are. This is why usually they’re allowed to resign and then just go work for another nearby agency whenever they’re caught doing something bad. For example, there was an officer caught on camera throwing a tantrum and unlawfully arrested an entire family including an elderly man he threw on the ground. He walked by the handcuffed man and kicked him a couple times, and was also caught on video walking up to the family’s dog and kicking it too. After much public outrage he resigned, and was almost immediately hired WITH A PROMOTION by a neighboring department.
It's because of the corrupt Mafia type police union makes it that way. So they have to go through a process no doubt he will be fired though after the dissonaplary board or whatever the hell it is. Then the paid leave stops.
I think THIS is the procedure that has to be followed as Grady has explained. It's because he is a union employee. There is a method to their madness 😮😮
Until conviction he unfortunately is still a part of a union. If he was fired on the spot then legally he can use his union protections to delay the legal process in his favor. It sucks but there are some small benefits to allowing resignation. One of them being he cannot file for unemployment. Even if he did resign once he is convicted he'd lose his benefits on the spot. This is explained by the Sheriff.
Nope. It correlates with cameras being commonplace, and forced bodycams on the officers who would have gotten away with it more than 20 years ago. And the minimums used to be whichever white cousin needed a job but had no training or experience.
This is why i dont respect people solely based off their profession. You could be a priest. Ima still think twice about you before bringing my children nearby
My mom was federal law enforcement, when she retired she was hired back with other retirees to do back ground checks for new agent hires. It was the best system, my mom would tell me what she was allowed to and there were so many ppl who shouldnt even make it through the hiring process. Then the program was cancelled because of how much it cost, diverting to sub contracting background checks and relying on digital methods. My mom would drive to the neighborhoods they grew up in and would ask ppl about them; not just the references. Now its about saving money and processing it quickly.
One thing I totally disagree with is that he should NOT be on paid administrative leave. Lock him up. All kinds of charges. Attempted muder. Plus, there are so many more charges !
By the look on his face you can tell he’s some sort of sadistic freak… he’s not disappointed in himself, embarrassed or remorseful at all. He’s practically smiling!
The stats say otherwise. If I could post them here I would. Hispanics are on top of the list, blacks right behind them, and whites far far behind both.
Gather the evidence, throw him General Population, make sure the inmates know who he is and what he did. Thank you for your service & integrity, Mr. Judd. Much love and respect from across the Atlantic. America needs many, many more Sheriffs like you!
@@lisajeter9511 The girls who were drunk and on drugs took off their clothes and were nude and when he started filming their vaginas they didn't try to cover it up I think we need a full review
Bartow didn't have jurisdiction to investigate where he lived. Polk County Sheriff did. Grady holds cops to a higher standard and doesn't hesitate to go after bad cops. He was apparently arrested by Bartow PD because that's where at least some of the crimes occurred. I wouldn't want to be him.
Probably realized how Sheriff Judd actively goes after pervs and thought it would be easier to get away with molesting minors at the Bartow Police Department. He wanted the badge and uniform to hide behind and to impress young girls. 👮🚔
Why? What would be the reason? There are very manipulative people in this world with the ability to lie & fool others. You cannot blame the person that hired him.
Until conviction the scumbag is technically still part of a union. Firing him on the spot could result in the legal process being delayed since he could be entitled to using his union protections to fight the charge. The reason they don't fire him on the spot is because in the U.S. we need to be PROVEN guilty in a court of law and doing so could allow for unfair hiring and firing practices as many people could lose out on a job or get fired for simply being charged with a crime. Imagine losing your job because an officer messed up? Allowing resignation SOUNDS worse that it is. The guy is still locked up in jail and I can assure you the bail for each individual charge for child porn is extremely high. He's highly likely to stay in jail until his trial and given the video evidence it'll be an open and shut case.
@@OPgamingstylethe police department and the police union agreed beforehand to certain terms of termination that result in this situation. This kind of protection would not apply to the overwhelming majority of workers who are not unionized. They can be fired any time for any reason. Most people working for a corporation would be let go as soon as the employer finds out they were arrested.
If he goes to prison he won't make it 60 days Both being a police officer and having sex with kids don't fly in prison Doing a crime like this for him , he must have been on a suicide mission
I think it is pedophiles that get hurt in prison (victims being much younger than seniors in high school - which I think most of those girls were around that age). BUT...if they know he was a police officer, he might get hurt (unless they put him in isolation for his own safety?).
Not to say it doesn’t happen, but I think people really overestimate how often it happens. The sex offender registries would be a lot shorter if it was such a sure thing. Most people in prison don’t want to catch a murder charge, they’re serving their time and wanting to get free
He’ll be fine. For one, there’s a big difference in the eyes of inmates between a 16 year old and a young child. The issue is he was a cop, and they’ll just isolate him. He won’t have many friends but it’s not like other inmates will come from him. He’ll be in an Administrative Segregation unit with other former cops, snitches, people with a hit on them, etc.
If he is so good why is the cop not fired? As a civilian it irks me that people don’t question this part? Any other job you don’t get paid leave or a chance to resign. You go to jail. I wouldn’t be praising Grady I would be asking him why he isn’t Fired and staying in jail
@@chadzillas5180 , because he has a right to due process.under his contract. Also we all are innocent until proven guilty by a court of law. He is not employed by Grady either so that has nothing to do with the comments praising Grady work.
@@people_watcher sad that your system allows this. Basically he gets to keep taxpayer money and keep his job until due process happens. Where as a civilian would just lose everything. Sounds fair.
@@chadzillas5180 except he is in jail. You need to understand that innocent until proven guilty doesn't mean you can't be held in jail. It means you can't be fired in case the charge doesn't stick or you can prove your innocence. That way your life can't be ruined because the cops got it wrong. This guy was arrested and for child porn charges I can tell you the bond for each is between $2,000 to $10,000 per count. That means every picture or video or depiction of a sexual act by a minor. The total bonds are usually so high no one will come bail you out. He's going to be held there until trial. That trial is open and shut with the video evidence presented. Mandatory prison sentence. Guys in prison hate cops and even more so hate predators. Is it sad that taxpayers foot the bill by keeping the jail and prisons funded so the inmates get fed? Sometimes. However, don't sit there making it seem like he's still out there on the street. Let me ask you if you were arrested and had proven you innocence would you be pissed if you weren't paid for the time you were wrongfully imprisoned? We need to do this because it is the cornerstone of the judicial system. Without it the minor offences can be greatly abused.
He's going to be put in jail. They are just building a bigger and bigger case against him. Sheriff Judd is going to take care of business and make sure justice is upheld.
There was a cop working in a city near me who hired two strippers to come to his home. He sexually assaulted both women and ended up being arrested, fired and then imprisoned. A few years later, I was reading résumé’s for an open position I had that was not in the law enforcement field. I recognized the name - which was the ex-officer. It looked like the guy got out of prison, went to school for a different career and was trying to get started in that field. Of course, I trashed the resume’ and flagged the guy’s name with our HR department. Yes, he paid his debt to society and did his time, but I employed several young women and couldn’t risk bringing in a registered sex offender. People really know how to screw up their lives.

Sounds alot like what occurred with half a dozen Largo Police Dept in Largo, Florida sometime in the 90's. Those cops arrested a grouo of teenage girls from Largo High & Seminole High schools. Terrorized them , blackmailing them to turn tricks for the officers and their friends. When the criminal cops were busted, they were given opportunity to resign with permission to reapply after 18 months ( I think).. Absolutely Disgusting.
BPD then PCSO then back to BPD??? Hmmm... How many polys did this guy have for employment? No one asks Grady why this guy left the PCSO? I would. This guy has the potential markers of a serial predator.
Could be a number of reasons but if those reasons were negative then it'll likely come up in investigation. Gotta say when we take funding away to pay cops a decent wage for all the BS that come their way you tend to lower the standards for who you hire.
While I'm an anti-prohibition warrior... I'm a part of Barry Cooper's NGB400. And what sets us apart from other copwatching organizations, is the fact that when we see a cop do the honorable thing, WE CELEBRATE THEM! Qudos to you Sheriff Judd! I wish WAY more cops were like this man! His transparency and his being a stickler for going by the book, make him a shining example of law enforcement.
Oregon disagrees. They have no money to pay for public defenders because all of their public funds go to dealing with crazy drug addicts. Instead of prosecuting violent crime, they just release them because they can't pay the jails because again. They spend all of their money fixing problems caused by drug addicts and alcoholics
