Kane Knight he probably gets money for this, and it will make him feel proudd of his self, because if this gets views and likes and all that it means the video is good and he will make more videos
TheFreakWeirdos haha ya exactly lol. There would be no point in doing RU-vid if I wasn't trying to make something of this. I need all the help I can get :)
I'm a lil late, but I've searched the whole RU-vid and I couldn't find anything to help me with just simple graffiti basics and then I found your channel. Thank you very much. I feel like I know everything I need to and you made everything so clear and understandable. Much love!
you give some really great tricks to understand it more, im am writing for 5 mothns now. also my friends who write over 5 years help me out sometime. but i still think you are really talanted cuz it's not that easy! thanks for the tutorials !
MrTheGilian Thanks MrTheGilian! Graffiti looks hard at first but when you break it down into the basic fundamentals of drawing letters and just changing them slightly thats when you realize how easy it can be. Its amazing how cool a letter can look if you just give it some slight angles and extensions. Thanks for all the nice feedback! I really do appreciate it! :)
your videos have been really helpful bro! it is so hard to find graf artists that want to share the technique! most will just clown, and discourage you from the art
Man, ever since I stared watching your videos, I went from totally nothing to pretty good. You explains it so easily and that's a major help. Thanks so much dude.
Good stuff man really helped me out alot especially the construction lines in the beginning seems really simple but i never would have thought of that haha
Thanks for the great video! I used to do this often before but now I tried to do it and it doesn't look well. I think following your techniques will help. It's funny because you make it seem so easy and it is. My letters just look terrible. I have watched all your tutorials and they helped a little but, but nothing seems to be working. I love your pieces, and keep up the good work! Thanks!
Hey guys! If this video helped you out please do me a favor and hit the subscribe button! I have a lot more great graffiti content including battles and a name request series that I know you'll love! Thanks guys! :D
Hey man love your vids just started graffiti yesterday and did a good piece but could u give me any tip on drawing a N I'm really struggling with them please reply back
very awesome bro!!! I gave up drawing after having kids. I always did a lot of portrait and cartoon work, I never got into graffiti but I always wanted to. This video made me want to start drawing again! Thank you!!!
Thanks so much for putting this tutorial up! Even though It is for advanced ppl, and I'm a beginner but this has really helped me. I can't wait to get really into graffiti and thanks for showing me how simple it really is.
I may be lying or idk but maybe I'm the only one who finds this to be the best tutorial on youtube that really teaches you about graffiti even though graffiti is how you want it to be but thanks for the upload much appreciated keep up the awesome work !
Aw thanks Tremend! It seems like a lot of people have been saying this and perhaps its because I show all the steps in creating a piece rather than just a bunch of random stuff that you have to put together yourself. I wanted people to be able to watch this video and then be ready to get out their books and start drawing. I wasn't wasting anytime with this one lol. Thanks so much for the nice feedback! I really do appreciate it! :)
Hey Steve ! I'm French so escuse me for my bad english ... I just want to say you thanks for your videos ! You learn me the graffiti and it´s very cool :D ! Thanks and by , my congratulations ! Bye
Thanks mate, this is great.. I am getting some poscas soon!! Im a paint pen noob. Loved the way you built the letters up at the beginning. I always try to draw them like that instantly. Cant wait to try this. Appreciate it
Ya I have used paint pens a bit. They are good but just harder to blend. I find its easier to shade with good markers. They are definitely needed for canvas work though. Thanks for the kind words buddy! :D
I absolutely suck whenever it comes to any type of drawing, whether its doodling, watercolor, acrylics, or even handwriting. I am actually good at graffiti though. Still, wasn't as good as I wanted to be. Thanks a ton for this vid, I especially like how you just proved how simple everything is. COMPLETELY blew my mind.
haha, ah don't be so hard on yourself. Like you said, i just proved how simple it is. Everything you do in art is a technique that can be easily learned. You just gotta take the time to watch a quick tutorial or experiment and you will be amazed at what you can learn. Thanks for the kind words! :)
Wow bro! The best way that I have seen -imo- that has helped me start moving forward. I've been stuck at noob lol but now I can actually say I'm at the end stage of a beginner!!! Thx keep them coming. Idk if you ever do requests but +SECS+ if you ever feel like it lol thx again.
THANKS STEVE YOU REALLY HELPED ME THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.Steve says: and I'm a nice person but when it comes to my artwork it has to be badass.I say: what a badass
Thanks Bryce! I really do appreciate it. I think this is my best one because it fits so much info into one episode. Anywho, I really do appreciate the nice words. Thanks a lot buddy! :)
Hey love this video and all of your other tutorials! I was wondering what kind of markers you use in this piece because they seem to look and shade very nicely
Aw thanks Legit! I really wanted to just fit as much as possible into one video as I know noone wants to watch 3, 10 minute videos. Thanks for the nice support buddy! :D
Amazing vid Steve! Throwies throw ups, bubble letters what ever they are called, are probably like super easy to learn but I would be so greatfull for a tutorial. & I bet a lot of others would be too :D love ur channel
hey steve thanks so much for all the vids ..... any chance u could go through a few different styles of lettering and how to achieve these looks, also was wondering would u have a list of standard gear a beginner should have to make good drawings
I remember watching the first tutorials you made and tried out making some pieces of my own, but havent really done any since then :/ So this totally gave me inspiration to give it a shot again :)! Awesome work of art, as always! I know I´w said this before, but seriously, just when I think you are done and Im already thinking "wow that looks so awesome!" but you just keep on going and when you´re finnish´d you just blow my mind with your art :D
Aw thankyou! Cant tell you how much that means to me! The best compliment I ever receive from anyone is that I inspired them. Sometimes after a hard days work its hard to get motivated to work on art but when you see something that makes you want to pick up a pencil and enjoy drawing something, that is a great feeling. I'm really happy to hear this gave you a little inspiration. That's what I'm here for. Thanks again for the really nice comments! your the best! :D
Hi Steve, I just started graffiti and I have watched some of your videos like your previous graffiti tutorial and stuff... So I kinda don't wanna start too early painting walls, no, I wanna draw a lot on paper and I would really like you to recommend me what are the best tools for a beginner to use (markers etc.) and what stuff do you use. Peace!
This is quite honestly the greatest tutorial I have ever seen. My art's become so much more nice looking thanks to you, Steve. Just a quick question, do you use ordinary markers when filling in your letters, or is there something else you use?
Wow, very nice video. Great tips too and i draw simular to how you draw. I draw graffiti, i started 2 years ago but ive got better and these tips really helped me. Thanks, i will teel other people about your videos too! :)
I feel like when I draw them they start to look stupid I'm trying to do your letter structures but how do you do that with Bs and Ds the curved letters?
Thanks Mike! I can't wait to see it. Seriously. People send me their work on my Facebook group all the time. I would love to see something from you! :D
Hey man, Nice work. But i was wondering what marker and pen name brand should i get that doesn't leak all over my piece. I have tried all types off sharpies and other name brands, what do you suggest?
it's really interesting to watch the graffiti videos b/c of how much detail and effects you put on the letters. maybe ill try to write something, idk but it was a really good, in detail tutorial.
TMBJR!!! thanks man! always appreciate the nice comments buddy! Ya you should give it a go sometime. Its lots of fun! Sorry its been a while since i was on bf4. I was busy doing this crazy video for the past week. We will definitely have to play soon! Cheers! :)
Ya I like all of those letters. Usually I write mater so I use 3 of those letters in my pieces. Ya I'm changing up the way I pick names for the next video so that should be interesting. Have you got any new drawings on the go?
ya, im working on that red fox that i started during the stream. also, in the past hour, i AM in fact trying to write tmbjr (emphasis on the word trying) because i don't really know if it's graffiti or abstract at this point xD. im not recording it but maybe i'll include a picture of at the end of my next video or something.
MrTmbjr . Hey some graffiti can be pretty abstract so thats cool! The point is you are opening up your mind to another style of art and thats awesome. Its good to explore all sorts of different styles. Eventually I need to do some of the stuff that you're doing on your channel. I love working with pencil crayons and pencils. Its just been a while since I've really done that. Cant wait to see your fox! :)
Man I have a question, why are you so awesome? Dude wicked videos! Thanks for the help I'm a small time artist and you are helping me so much, your sir are awesome!
haha awe thanks buddy! I appreciate it. Too many graffiti artists are afraid to share there secrets. I just like to help out other artists. It makes me feel good to pass on some knowledge. Thanks again buddy! All the best with your art! :)
Hey Steve, Iam just venturing into graffiti art because of my school wall painting competition. And honestly, i have never ever tried graffiti art and my head is cracking into how to go about this plus the art teacher does not want it to be a conventional art. Can you please suggest on how i should focus while making the layout? You just make it so simple ^o^
You are the dopest coolest dude! thank you for this video! instant subscribe ive been into graff for awhile but this really helps with the game in general!
raul centeno Awe thanks Raul! That's such a nice comment and I really appreciate the nice feedback! I wish you all the best of success my friend! thanks a bunch! :D
To be honest, at first when i saw the first three videos i was totally thinking damn he's a toy, but then i just saw you made this and honestly respect man, some dope shit dude, thanks for being open to helping toys out we need it sometimes, especially since graff is so dog eat dog its hard to find a crew willing to teach you
haha, oh my original graffiti tutorial is so old. I don't really like it at all. I think this one is way better. Thanks a bunch man! I totally agree a lot of graff writers can be pretty hostile for no reason at all. I just like to help out other artists. Try to get people off to a good start. Thanks a bunch for watching buddy! :)
Oh and I dont call people who are learning toys. I have nothing but respect for people trying to learn a new artform. Toys is a label i would only call somone who is disrespectful and does stupid shit like tagging someones house or something like that lol.
yeah dude its mad old tbh haha i was kinda like damn this is cheesy haha but good shit man forreal, and i like you reppin wicked in canada dude, im from philly so i love hands that people rock when its got that style, thats the one thing we got that no one else does and its truely a skill man
MyKnifeUrLife haha, ya it was so cheesy. Over time you look back and tend to laugh at some of your older shit lol. Ya man, Philly is where its at for handstyles!
Thats amazing man. Ive seen some pretty cool fruit carving at resorts on vacation. Its amazing work. If you can pull something off in graffiti that would be amazing! :)
hey steve, not trying to be critical because you do some pretty cool work but i have a suggestion for you. where your letters overlap, simply erase the line so the letters share a space and its more understood where the line would continue. i definitely think this could take your graffiti to another level
I know what your talking about. like your saying even leave a bit of the line but erase parts of it. That's not a bad suggestion at all. I will keep that in mind! Cheers man! :)
yeah no problem, it took some time to really get the hang of it but i prefer to use it for a somewhat of a continuous and connected piece. hopefully soon i will have some videos up on my page to share stevesartstudio
Ya for sure. I will give it a try and see if I like it. I think we all find things we like to do differently so its cool that you shared that little insight with me. Ya man, Let me know when you have some videos up and I'll be sure to watch! Cheers! :)
