(Nash's archivist Joel Bernstein saw the video and offered corrections. Nash has been on the road and got his facts wrong in the video. Here are the facts regarding this release:
AnalogPlanet last spoke with Graham Nash in 2016 upon the release of "This Path Tonight", his latest collection of new songs. On June 29th RHINO will issue "Over The Years", a new 30 track, 15 song CD collection.
The15 song double vinyl 3-sided set contains the originals Nash songs recorded by CSN and CSN&Y along with the records Nash made with David Crosby and of course from his solo albums beginning with 1971's "Songs For Beginners".
The CD includes the original studio recordings on one disc and all of the studio demos of the same tunes, 12 of which have never before been released.
The songs (in both original and demo versions) include "Marrakesh Express", "Teach Your Children", "Just a Song Before I Go" and all of the others you'd expect to find on such a compilation..
All of the tracks including the demos were mastered at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Like band mates David Crosby and Neil Young Mr. Nash cares a great deal about sound quality.
As you watch the video you'll see him divert his attention to something off screen. He's watching CNN's coverage of recent Senatorial hearings on the IG report regarding the FBI's conduct during the last presidential campaign, which he talks about. So there will be politics here. You have been warned.

I was walking around Central Park in the 1980’s and saw Graham walking toward me. He stopped and said hello to me. I had read in his book that it was important to him to be friendly to his fans. He sure proved it that day.

I love to see what years of not only being at the top of your artistic game but also constantly exploring your spiritual and emotional side brings to a human being. There is an honesty and confidence which is deep but not arrogant about Graham that is refreshing and you feel that if you are a faker of any sort you would also fear him as he would expose that fakery in a heartbeat with his honesty. I like how he steers away from absolutely judgment of others as well unless the judgement is based upon solid fact. This really has only become evident because of the way you interviewed him Michael. You can feel he is at ease with you and knows that you are not going to ask formula questions and he knows your passion for music is deep and real so opens up on levels others would miss or not be allowed into, fascinating! I hope he gets a pair of those Devores that he was so impressed with that he mentioned in your previous interview with him. Hopefully he will let you set the system up for him! Thanks so much, I learned so much more about the man from this interview.

Just a off the wall question, If you have a lp record listed as all analog " AAA " does that include what is used for the cutter head delay? I know that some use both anolog & digital delays. Thanks...

i feel sad to hear that csny is not going to play together anymore. their voices harmonise beautifully and their music was part of my life since woodstock. so i have to call myself lucky that i saw csn in stuttgart/germany a couple of years ago.

I'm 48 and I've been a fan since 1986. For my whole life I always felt like i was on the younger side of his fan base. Back then, when I was 18, it was people in their late 20's/early 30's who I saw at the shows. Now, it's people in their 60's and 70's. Don't get me wrong, though...in the 80s' I still blasted Iron Maiden from my car. Hell, I still do... along with all kinds of modern (but not overly popular) hard rock bands. But every time I went to any CSN show (or Crosby/Nash), I always felt like I was a guest in their home.

Simple , wise , honest , unpretentious introspection comments about life as a music maker during the interview's first half . The political stuff is absolute nonsense , however ; he apparently does not need to deal with MS13 in his Manhattan neighborhood , and the violent arrogance of his neighbor's Mexican gardeners . Never does he lambast his native land for how it created the nightmare that is the present map of the Mideast ; when interviewed by a Jew , Palestinian rights appear to be a taboo topic ( I'm pro-Palestinian , as are co many Americans privately ) .

Graham is not only a gentleman he is a very gifted man. Songs like 'Marrakesh Express', 'Military Madness' & "Teach Your Children Well' only scratch the surface of his extraordinary body of work. Left politics is weak in the US compared to the rest of the world so Graham is definitely not talking to converts over there.

I haven't seen those on LP , only CD , Barnes and Noble. Which is surprising since they carry very few CD's , mostly records. I think they are doing away with digital audio. I just recently got 2 early B-52's reissues, sound very good on sl1200g. I got two of them really because of you. I set one of for 78's 3 mil and 1 mil . I have some 78 's that are 1 mil . These old records are impressive. I never got away from records like most. Music is the important thing people lose sight of.

Obama was worse. He let lone kids at the border go off with their traffickers on buses to some hell hole somewhere to be work slaves or sex slaves-usually someone prominent. The same prominent person who likely hates Trump and Trump is busy exposing. THAT is why they hate Trump.

I stopped watching when the conversation turned political. Blaming Trump for the current illegal alien situation is just political grandstanding. And calling the honorable Sarah Sanders a “potato head”is just low.
@AnalogPlanet
@AnalogPlanet 6 лет назад
She's worse than a potato head IMO. He was being kind. Trump is 100% to blame for separating children from their parents. The immigration laws are a different issue. Trump and Jeff Sessions made a POLICY decision. They are not following any laws requiring children to be separated from parents. They are using these kids as hostages to get their way on immigration reform. It's a disgusting tactic. Period.

Analog Planet So why were you not crying when Obama separated kids at the border put them on buses with their human traffickers into middle America somewhere so they can be someone’s sex slave? That is literally what happened. No outcry from the hypocritical Left then. Obama also put kids in cages-that’s where it started.

Some facts instead of opinions: Graham Nash is still part of CSN's overall sound. He even says in this video he doubted his strength after meeting the rest, and they chose him anyway. They understood his natural vocal harmonic talent, plus he'd already sang and written hits. Whether you like him or not is irrelevant, especially if you enjoy any of their (or The Hollies') recordings.
