I'll say this about Roy Hodgson at Inter, club president Moratti did praise him after he gave his notice to leave the team. He said that he came in a tough position, didn't panic and stayed calm, thus a crisis was averted at a time where Inter Milan was in transition. And hey, not for nothing, he did reach the UEFA Cup final. I'm not saying he was the best or anything, but he was not a failure either.
@@Foos3yOW He said congrats to Potter for keeping the Chelsea job because TheIrishGuy has a tendency to be wrong quite often lately so Potter probably will keep his job now 🤣
"14 year old with ADHD playing Fifa" felt like a personal attack on me because I changed my formations so frequently that it was practically new team every week
Potter's Brighton use to lack goals despite domination, "his" Chelsea can keep 90% possession and lose the game without any shot on target... It's literally "his" Brighton2
Irish Guy said in the video “Give Vieira the Man City job” that if Graham Potter got a job in the big 6 by Christmas 2022 then he’s go to the barber and eat a bowl of his own hair
While Potter was at Brighton, they were battling relegation almost every year and finished midtable last year. Without Potter they are fighting for an European spot. Potter came to Chelsea, and they went from fighting for trophies to being in midtable.
Think Potter is just simply an amazing mid-table coach... Might do well as a national team manager Just doing well with limited resources doesn't always mean they'll do well with nigh-unlimit3d resources
In the same way that Pep or Carlo Ancelotti wouldn't likely do amazingly well with Bolton Wanderers or Morecambe F.C. Sure, they're world class managers, but you don't have the players to make their systems work.
Be honest, you're only saying sack Potter so Mourinho can return. If he does Brandon Ayong will no longer need to bring you the Daily Mourinho news, so at least that will save him some time 😂
As an Arsenal fan, this has made me happy. Now I am certain he won't get sacked, and Chelsea is stuck battling relegation for the rest of the season! Rejoice!
@@thacrypt223 I'm not gonna as It's just football Justin timberlake. As it stands we have 2 more than you anyway which is what matters. If your club had more then you might able to talk sh*t but as it stands you can't.
If you sack potter now the manager who replaced him would just end up the same way. Sack potter at the end of season so the new manager gets a summer window and pre season and all their on coaches. Ps that should be Mourihno
Exactly, shacking potter now would result in a team with many high profile players the next manager wouldn’t know what to do with. It will be a disaster Potter needs time until end of season, if he turns around the club by then, give him another season. Or else replace during summer break
I think the issues with Potter are rather obvious, he overthinks too much, and even though he has tactics he clearly lacks on the man management side. It's easy to manage the ego of a random 18 year old promising player from Latvia, but it's hard to manage the ego of world cup, CL winners, record breaking transfer players all in the same team, this is what separates a lot of top coaches from the regular ones, you might have the tactics, but if you can't keep the players comited to your cause, you are pretty much dead meat
Context Roy time at inter Milan was not terrible as may look on paper he was there for the team during a hard period and brought em some level of success. Roberto Carlos he hated him cause they did not see eye to eye due to the fact Roberto Carlos wanted to play as RB but due to his attacking prowess it would cripple defense. Roy would make him play as winger that way even if he doesn’t track back it won’t cripple the team. That argument caused tension between the two that’s why he calls Roy the worst.
at first i thought Irish Guy was just hating on Potter but as a Chelsea fan having had my blood pressure spike every matchday, he was absolutely spot on. he is completely out of his depth
Bringing the daily mourinho news to the Irish guy A very credible journalist has announced yesterday that he doesn't know yet if jose will leave roma this summer but if he does he's definitely going back to chelsea
@@kaidenhall2718 Well even if he still has some defeats with roma every now and then his stock as a manager has totally rised compare to 2 years ago when he was sacked at spurs so now he gets quite a few offers again. The conference league helped a lot too just because there was something attractive in seing jose go to a club that never wins and lift silverware within 9 months
Boehly can’t sack him cos it’ll make him look completely stupid for sacking Tuchel and hiring Potter. Oh and also because he has put potter on a long ass contract
No he doesn't, you're obsessed! Chelsea is doing great this season speaking as an unbiased man united fan. They might even get top 10, after spending a paltry 600 million thats amazing
It's stubbornness from the Chelsea board at this point. They don't want to admit they made a mistake sacking Tuchel when they did. Question is, how much longer can they realistically give Potter in this current form?
Lmao I love the passion the hatred Irish guy has for Chelsea fc for sackin Jose don’t matter what they do he’s gona slaughter them I’m a gooner so get em lad lmao 🤣
Honestly, as a Chelsea fan I've had it with 3-at-the-back / 5-at-the-back formations. I die a little inside every time I see Chelsea use such formations.
9:43-- would I take any of these managers at Birmingham city fc? Probably marco silva who’s a semi decent coach with good experience. He could help us.
Cooking burgers in a van could be too challenging for him he shood stick to burning toast...but I think he's gonna be the next manager at my beloved west ham so we will have to put up with his PhD in emotions and live making GREAT
I really don't think that graham Potter is as bad as the Irish guy points out. But he is very overrating. Brighton is such a well run club with the best recruitment and scouting method in the Prem. While graham Potter wasn't exactly given all the resources, he was always given hidden gems that would adapt to his playing style. Now that he is that Chelsea, he is given everything in the world and just can't make it work, even having his own coaching and recruiting team. Truely, world-class managers can take any squad and reach milestones. Potter....is not world-class
The main difference I think is man management, you might have the best tactics on the planet, but if you lack on that department you will never reach the highest levels of the game in management
Potter will remain at Stamford Bridge for the remainder of the year. Lo Speciale is enjoying La Dolce Vita. I checked on how Robertino's English is coming along at Brighton, he says he wants his club to play with big balls.
been following Chelsea for over 30 years now and this is the first time I've gone into every game expecting to lose... I mean PG days (Pre-Gullit) obviously went in expecting to lose to the top of the table sides like United, Blackburn (God times have changed), etc but still always fancied our chances against mid to bottom half table sides but now it's just no, no chance today. Marcus Rashford is currently living proof that great players need great managers as Ten Hag has transformed him... maybe with a new manager similar transformations can occur
Irish guy. I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina, the land of the champions. Pellegrini is much, much much better than Potter!!! He made my club San Lorenzo de Almagro, champion of Argentina and a sudamerican cup, called Mercosur. He also was champion with River Plate. Graham Potter is a joke!
As a longtime Chelsea fan, I assure you, this advice is pointless. Even before Abramovich came, Chelsea fired managers just for fun. Any time a fellow CFC fan complained about the manager, going way back into the 90s, you could stop them by saying, "don't worry. It's Chelsea. He'll be gone soon." You could then see them nod in agreement, then complain about whichever striker had missed a chance most recently. We CFC fans are a predictable lot, and as long as the boys are fighting for the points, we remain loyal. I'm starting to see some troubling signs lately; players pulling out of 50-50s, etc. They are making me envy Union Berlin fans, most recent result notwithstanding.
Even if you add Messi, Ronaldo, Kroos, Modric, Haaland and Mbappe to this bloated Chelsea squad, I am pretty sure Potter would turn them into mediocre players.
Nothing but facts in this video. When people say Potter did do much at Brighton I’m like WHAT??? They were serial losers under him just like we are now with him. Boehly’s stupidity and stubbornness will be the end of chelsea cos this Graham guy is here to stay.
Be Afraid Chelsea. Be VERY afraid! Boehly has kept a serial bottle job as the LA Dodgers manager for going on 7 years, after he should have been fired at least 5 times in that stretch. Have fun with 2 decades of Potter.
Graham Potter, in the top teams, is proving to be the Liz Truss of big team management. Should someone grab a head of lettuce from Morrisons? The underlying structure of the club needs someone that can work with the names the club buys to make the strategy to play, not make them play strategies that throw out two thirds of their abilities because it works getting competent teams over incompetent teams in League One. Same thing for Liverpool, Arsenal’s Invincibles era, Man U, and in a few years Newcastle United - teams with numerous players who have the brilliance to break from their roles when the opportunity arises and be ruthless - Potter has squelched that in the current Chelsea play.
Mate everytime an Irish player is birthed from his mother canal you are already declaring his balon dor potentials, British bias is real, nd not just from the English.
Ok I am a chelsea fan who is potter out but why are you tryna act like taking Ostersund from the 4th tier of Sweden to beat Arsenal in the Europa League not impressive?
I'm sorry but getting rid of a manager in the middle of the season is gonna get you nowhere. No good manager is up for employment ATM and I'm pretty sure It's not his fault either. Chelsea bought so many players they actually didn't even need. Graham was barely involved in any of that.
