The end bit where you explained what collect a con is was real af. Most videos don't say that this is mainly a collectible convention and not extra stuff like a regular con.
Exactly and there is nothing wrong with it being a collectible convention. I’ve just been to enough of them these past years to know that the extracurricular stuff isn’t their focus, which is fine. Still an awesome event to find some rare collectibles.
Thank you very much, comments like this definitely mean a lot to a small creator like me. I’ll definitely continue this content creating journey for supporters like you!
I was there the other day! I found myself in the beginning of the video. You walked right by me at 1:20 ,in the Miku Expo 2024 Shirt putting my stuff in my bag. I was on the right side. Unfortunately I was only able to meet Jason Paige but he was a super awesome guy to meet, especially since he sung my Pokemon theme song I grew up with! I got a whole video of him singing the song on stage and he walked right by me with the Pikachu Keyblade he got from a cosplayer, taking it on stage and playing air guitar when the solo came up! I had such an amazing time the other day! Definitely would love to go again with my fiance!
That’s awesome, yeah I unfortunately didn’t have time to meet anyone since I went for a few hours in the last day but it did seem like a great line up. Jason Paige is definitely a huge W for the Pokemon scene.
I'm going to the one in Kansas City for the first time. I'm planning on recording at the event for my channel but really nervous about it lol, I hate recording in public lol any tips on that?
To be completely honest recording at conventions is one of the best places to start recording and getting into content creation since it's become normalized and everyone is free to be themselves. You also have to think about the fact that a lot of these vendors appreciate the extra awareness these videos bring to their business so a lot of times they will be very friendly and are even wiling to give you more info about themselves. As a whole just have fun, forget about what other people are thinking, and always remember everyone always starts somewhere.
@parksandpops thanks for that input I appreciate it! that's kind of what I was thinking. I've been making content for a long time now but starting to ramp up way more and never done anything in public before
@parksandpops I'll try to remember haha event is in 3 weeks and will try not to spend weeks editing it 😅 I'm guilty of overediting my videos but I'm trying to be less of a perfectionist lol
@@MrAndersonAFK sounds good and remember no need to overdo it what I noticed about these event videos is you have to post them as soon as possible before it no longer has relevancy. Just focus on putting the best product out in as little time possible.
Yeah there are definitely some cards priced higher at these shows, but some deals you can find if you are really looking. You can also negotiate as well.
I did not buy anything from their booth, but just wanted to highlight the importance of this event for the TCG community. They don't just show up to every event.
I order from them all the time they are cheaper or compared to most retailers, singles are normally $10-$20 over but simplicity and free shipping is nice. every card I’ve gotten is minty fresh and worthy of grading to add.
