Gran Alacant is a suburb of Santa Pola, a short drive from Alicante airport - Spain.
The Tourist Train - Tren Turistico, is a popular means of getting about. It takes a circular route around Gran Alacant stopping at all the popular and local places. The round hop-on, hop-off trip is currently €3. So hop-off at the commercial centre with all its shops etc., and catch the next train back an hour later. On the one ticket you can hop-on and hop-off as many times as you want travelling in the same once around circular route. Unlike the buses, the tourist train runs on a Sunday.
