Gran Canaria Cycling Trip/ Guayadeque Caves and Gorge/ Episode 2 /Festive 500/ Winter escape

This ride is part of our Gran Canaria cycling trip, in which we explored some of the best routes on the island. The Canary Islands are a great winter escape for cyclists looking for some winter sun. This ride was part of our Festive 500 cycling challenge in December.
In this route, we explore the Guayadeque ravine/ gorge, with beautiful scenery and great cave restaurants where you can enjoy some local food. Mostly road but also some trails and gravel.

Hola, eres de origen de un país de habla hispana, verdad?? El acento me sonaba muy español, pero ya viendo que contestas en castellano a la gente local u algún comentario ya me imagino que sí. Ahora está bastante normalizado el ciclismo femenino en España así que aquí podrás disfrutar del ciclismo incluso si te animas buscarte tu propia grupeta, solo féminas. ( Algo de lo que yo siento mucho orgullo, porque cuando salía con mi primera bici, no había ninguna chica) Café con leche condensada, lo suelen llamar café bombón. Un saludo

I also get the highs,lows, getting lost and having to walk on every tour. nice to know it's not just me, SPDs help with the walking

Thanks :) I switched now to shimano xtr aslo for road, super comfortable and if I get lost I have shoes I can walk with

Fantastic trip and places! Perhaps for unknown terrain, SPD pedal/shoes would be a better choice. Sorry to see your shoes got damaged.

Very nice video and ride. You found plenty of water along the way I'm guessing? And were there any Covid restrictions for entry onto the island?

Many thanks for your comment :) I found more dirt than water ^^ when I went to Gran Canaria they required you to have EU covid vaccination passport or I think a PCR test to travel there and you also need to fill out an online health declaration form from the Spanish government before traveling.
