Buenos días.Hay un error en su comentario, Gran Canaria es la tercera isla más grande, no la segunda. Tenerife es la más extensa con 2054 km2, la segunda es Fuerteventura con 1730 km2 y la tercera es Gran Canaria con 1530 km2.Saludos

Y de Altura también la Tercera con 1956 metros en el Morro de la Agujereada. La ciudad más habitada es "La Ciudad Real de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria" (Este es el nombre oficial de la ciudad) y la isla posee junto a su capital el área metropolitana más grande del archipiélago y se posiciona en el puesto 9° de las áreas y poblaciones más habitadas de toda España. Gran Canaria es de todas las islas en una, tienes Sol, Playa, Montaña, Verde, Desierto, Cañones, Volcanes, Calderas, Precipicios, el Acantilado más alto de Europa el 2° del Continente Africano y el 7° del Mundo "Faneque con 1027mt" Ubicado en el municipio de Agaete. Formación creada por el desprendimiento de un gran porción de tierra al océano al crearse la isla de GranCanaria. Gran Canaria debe su nombre a los Grandes Canes que la habitaban y que siguen existiendo pero de una forma evolucionada a la raza original del presa Canario. Que depende de como los cries pues pueden llegar a ser peligrosos. Pues los Castellanos temian a estos canes y llamaron a la isla "Gran Can" Gran Perro y de ahí deriva Gran Canaria "ÍNSULA GRANDES PERROS" (singular) y Canarias es casi lo mismo "INSULAS DE PERROS" (plural)

@@TanausulandMucha información, pero muchos errores Tanausú. Creo que debes leer mucho más sobre la formación y la historia de Canarias.Por cierto, no tiene por que ser malo ser la tercera isla en extensión y la segunda en población. Es cuestión de ver la botella medio llena o medio vacía.
