Really awesome idea having the car rotate on an angle like in GT5 but it's almost too zoomed in. I'm no coder or anything but it would look better if it was positioned better on the screen.
Thanks for the feedback. On main map thats surely right but unfortunately its not adjustable for each screen in that file. Making the main map a little unreadable than original but improving ~20 other screens seemed worth to me. If that screen was adjustable on its own that would be really good :)
the race display is an executable thing. the only way to use hud like in bumper cam is to replace the bumper cam coordinates with chase cam coordinates . its a hacky way and done each car. if you want the chase cam hud like gt3 then its an executable edit which is impossible without decompiling ,changing and recompiling
Please tell me these can be used on real hardware. While I can emulate PS2, it's at the native res of the console, so I rather use the real thing since I do own one capable of running homebrew and mods, and it uses way less power than my computer.
it will be tested on hw yeah, but some courses will experience 50-55 fps performance for a short period of time. im running at 8x 60 fps but my game slows down to 53 on grand canyon, being 6th place and in first sector. thankfully the timer doesnt slow down. if a test fails in hw, ill probably release a different build with LODs enabled and normal rear mirror
thanks a) surface work : a complicated thing, there is an old test video on my channel. gotta do it for all tracks locating things etc. is almost impossible b) model work: to add reflective surface. if you change surface type without this you will see like in that video. conclusion: currently no
idk where its controlled but using different tyre compounds introduce some permanent tyre screeching noise unfortunately... Moreover, gear whine is normal irl for race cars so probably they will stay that way...
@@hatersbby Gear whine is only normal for race cars with straight cut transmissions, a lot of them have other types of transmissions. It's also usually not audible on the outside of the car and is drowned out by exhaust noise, but on GT4 with external camera it's incredibly loud and unrealistic :(
@@user-bp5py6bh3g i think that sound is played if a car has non-stock gearbox idk how i can adjust it for other cameras.. will take a look at sound files tho
