(HD 1080p) The opening moments of the long-awaited Gran Turismo 5 pay homage to the industry that makes the sport of racing possible. 3:21 Real GT5 begins!!
As a car enthusiast and pianist, hearing the piano sonata in the beginning while looking at a GT-R is great. Then it transition to My Chemical Romance's song with a montage of cars is simply amazing. Best intro of a Gran Truismo game ever. Very artistic and awesome at the same time.
If you are talking about the actual song... If you don't know, it's Planetary (GO!) By My Chemical Romance From their Album The true lives of the fabulous Killjoys
@@REMHOLDR I wouldn't call that MCR song complex and intricate :P he must be talking about the piano piece, which is Prokofiev's 7th Sonata (3rd movement)
No one wrote music like Prokofiev did and no one ever will! And while this is a very fine performance here, try listening to Pollini slaying it to perfection here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5rfle8wSwJM.html
Ricardo Martinez well in GT5 shadows are very pixelated and in GT6 they are very blurry. Overall GT6 is graphically superior but eh it released 3 years later.
Best video game intro ever. The song and the tempo, of both the video and the song itself, are perfect. For people who have a deep appreciation for vehicles and motorsports this is bound to give you a case of the feels.
Rise your hand if you watched the whole opening the first time you put the disc in the console!... Man, I miss those old days when you put the disc and start to play, now you have to wait for a 70+ GB install plus 40gb Patch because Developers are lazy to fix that thing before being released...
I don't understand people who skip openings to games, at least the first time. The opening sets the mood, helps establish what you should feel as you dive into the game. Skipping the intro is like uncorking a fine wine without sampling the aroma.
I remember sitting there and listening to the boring first part (was boring to my 8 year old self, is interesting now) just to listen to the bomb second song xD
I also remember installing Gran Turismo 5, and waiting forty minutes for it to download and install over twenty patches before installing all the tracks onto the hard drive. This wasn't a cartridge game released in 1985, it came out in 2010.
You sir have now fit the definition of a "car enthusiast". Most people far to realize that being a one-make fanboy does not make you a car enthusiast but simply one who loves those particular cars.
This is probably one of the better games intros I have ever seen. I thought it was cool as heck how it showed car getting made all the way from the very beginning Raw materials
I can't wait to buy a PS3 (an upgrade from my PS2) just to play this thing! >I'm a 16y/o boi btw. I've been a fan of GT since I started playing it since 2007
I remember when i was younger i got this game. Me not knowing what to expect i was completely speechless after watching this masterpiece of an intro roll out onto my screen. Its absolutely breath taking and to this date is still my favorite game. I would watch this over and over just to re live the experince.
i remember when i was little. maybe 5 years old. i was always sitting and watching my dad play gran turismo 4. right next to him laughing. and then i got older 7 years old or 6. and this game came out. and my dad and me were SO HAPPY and this is why we got a ps3. we still play it to this day.
i was 6 my mom and dad and me saw the ps3 we wanted to get it, we got it we were Vey EXITED. my uncle let us borrow GT5. we were SO happy i remember my dad put the game in the console, it was loading the intro started, we watched the whole thing WE WERE SO HYPE. we played the game for MONTHS, we got far in the game i won first place for the first time on the nurburgring when i was 6 i Was So happy. every thing about this game gives me some of the greatest memorys the Cars,Tracks, oh and THE MUSIC THE MUSIC WAS ONE OF the most nostaligic things every about this game. ahhh the memorys :)
There might be something outside your window But you'll just never know There could be something right past the turnpike gates But you'll just never know If my velocity stars to make you sweat Then just don't let go And if the heaven ain't got a vacancy Then we just, then we just, then we just, then we just Get up and go Ladies and gentlemen, truth Is now acceptable fame Is now injectable process the progress This core is critical faith Is unavailable lives Becomes incredible now Please understand that I can't slow down, I won't be waiting for you, I can't stop now because I'm dancing This planet's ours to defend Ain't got no time to pretend Don't . . . Every time i play gran turismo i would spend 5 minutes watching the intro and if i skip it by accident i would quit the game and go back in and listen to the intro
Finally, someone who appreciates it! I prefer the track MOC to MCR in a musical context, but the way MCR fits this introduction with the racing and the 'velocity' is just perfect.
Back in late 2010 : I just installed my brand new PS3, I am 7. I lauched the game and I saw this incredible intro : incredible graphics, loooooot of cars, great physics : I almost cried when I saw it for the first time. And since this time, this intro always give me chills and always making me dance. I remember that I always tried to do the crash in 5:46 ^^ What a beautiful moment it was and now, 2019, I'm 15 and I regret this time so much :'(
I’d watch this every time I loaded up GT cuz it was super entertaining especially when they showed the robots messing with the cars in the assembly line
Too many people think of MCR or similar bands and immediately turn away. It's some of the most energetic, action-filled music out there, even without being a sheer display of technical-skill with their instruments. They aren't robots. Even though I am pretty disappointed with the final product, GT5 has an intro that can't be touched. It is a start-to-finish tribute to the love of cars. Polyphony picked a wonderful track. They had to, after "AYGGMW" and "Panama" from GT 3 and 4, respectively.
You haven't really lived until you've been in a 12 person NASCAR Race at Daytona where the entire field finishes within a half second of each other Honestly that's all you needed to do
Yes the game does have a lot of faults, but I still love the overall feel of Gran Turismo. You can just tell it's a game made for people who have a genuine passion for cars, not gamers just looking for a chance to race a sports car against their friends. Flawed yes, but undeniably brilliant. Gran Turismo forever!
I used to watch the intro a few time times before playing the game, got my race head on! Then crash because I was pissed by then an throw the controller.............. Game cost me a fortune a wireless controllers. Gave up and went back to point an click games which I can do, JUST..............................................
