I’m a grown man, but this opening gave me so much rush of nostalgia that it made me shed a tear. It reminded of the times when my friends, siblings, or relatives would take turns playing GT, betting on who could set the fastest lap, and just having fun talks about cars all day. Thank you, Gran Turismo.
I just bought gt7 2 days ago, and I went straight to the comments to make sure i wasn’t crazy..but I’ve gotta say, I felt the same exact way. I actually shed a few tears, which is crazy. Like you said i immediately thought back to the simpler times growing up where me and buddies would play the older gran turismo games. This intro gave me a shell shock of nostalgia, truly beautiful. I procrastinated buying the game because from experience on ps4, all the racing sims, require a wheel and peddles to truly be able to enjoy the experience. GT7 with the new ps5 controller gives a feedback response that I’ve never felt through a controller before. I felt right at home.
@@Tritonal92 Probably will get a "offline update" when the lifespan is over, its just to prevent cheating... On the other hand duplicating and sending Cars in GT5 is a nostalgic thing... The modded cars some people had were also just a fun thing rather than destroying someones online expierience... I guess the reason for this is not that they care about it beeing "unfair" to glitch or cheat money... Its simply because you can buy cars/money with real money & they dont want to loose money... lol
Not gonna lie, I was tearing up watching this on launch day when I booted up the game. This series is still my all time favourite and will always be incredibly important to me.
I'd 100x prefer 'All my Life' over Moon over the Castle, really a boring one, hopefully Music can be customized in GT7. All my Life to me should be the REAL GT Hymn.
Dude, the final shot of the Porsche and Mazda concepts dueling it out on Trial Mountain, it’s just so perfect. Phenomenal to see our favorite prog rock racing anthem make a return in its newest iteration as well.

This game is a love letter to the automive industry. Its Kaz's Magnum Opus of Cars. It is amazing how much love, care and passion for cars oozes from every crevasse of the game. Polyphony Digital's love of all things cars and car culture is infectious and it makes you want to enjoy that same passion for cars and racing that this team has demonstrated for 25 years. I am an OG GT player from the PS1 days, so you can say I've grown up as a gamer with GT and its amazing how everytime I think that we reached an apex in the car details, the environments, the craftsmanship of the game overall.....another GT comes along and manages to up the ante. GT7 looks like it is in position to do just that.....to usher in a new genration of life long GT fans. Well done, Polyphony Digital.....Well done!
One of the only game intros to actually make me cry. Even on PS4, aside from the crazy price controversies, and the bugs and glitches, This is a masterpiece of a game.
This is not just a game... its a legacy... a history of the automotive industry... a love letter for all Automotive enthusiasts... to be able to see and drive the cars that most of us wouldnt be able to drive... thank you Polyphony for your dedication in perfecting this game...

I thought it was weird because i got tears in my eyes almost instantly when history section ended and the Moon over the castle started to play and everything looks and sounds so perfect and those thousands of memories strikes like a lightning. I never had such a strong emotional reaction before with any other game. That was really weird but at same time it was so awesome! ❤😭 My love with car games/cars started when i played Gran Turismo 1 on our Playstation when i was kid. I have played them all since then and i really loved 4 and this is like 4 in many things so it really brings happy tears in my eyes and so many awesome memories 😭❤ I have been always loved Gran Turismo but now when im playing this i love it even more! ❤ This game series has been so big part of my life and it still is! ❤ This is the best Gran Turismo opening ever and they have been always great!!! ❤
@@ana_92_ That's when it hit me. I was waiting to hear what the "real" theme would be (like Panama, My Favorite Game, etc), and when I realized it they went with a modern version of the original theme, I just started crying.
Gran Turismo is not just a game, it is a legacy. With each game it pushes forward the technological boundaries and sets itself as the gold standard for others to follow. This King is back!!
I'm stuck in the past I guess since I play alot of GT2 in ps1, my friend hates playing it and compares it to playing with rocks 😆.. I guess cause I smoke him 9 out of 10 times. He says he's better than me if I would atleast get a PS3, well see.. LOL
Finally, after all these years, full version of Moon Over The Castle is in the opening movie for ALL REGIONS, not just Japan. I can't wait until the clear version of this new remake gets released on RU-vid or Spotify so I can hear it without the car sounds.
I have to watch the entire intro every time I play, it looks and sounds so beautiful and actually makes me quite emotional! Well done to everyone involved.

I love how kaz throws his soul and love of cars into the intros so much class and pride, for me he can't be touched by any game dev just pure master class and a league of his own to all that work on any gt. Thank you so much for single handedly restoring my love in gaming, elden ring, horizon fw and gt 7 really repping the ps also a strong start for Gamers this year 💪
Bought GT7 3 days ago and this made me shed a few tears, remembering about playing GT4 in my early teens. This is a love letter to all of us petrolheads.
I think we should stop comparing with GT4 because that game is too perfect to be compared lol. So we would be frustrated with a excellent game in our hands lol

I've watched it 3 times now from start to finish and I'm still not done yet! This got me more excited than HFW or Elden Ring, especially when Moon Over the Castle kicks in at the 4-minute mark.
This is the best intro and one of the best comeback in the most iconic Title ever created for PS5.This intro has the best elements music, graphics, history everything its in this official video and for sure its the best title that will bring all the fans of all ages including me (50 year old timer).Thank you Polyphony for listen to all your fans around the world and created this masterpiece!!!
This intro gets better and better everytime i watch it, i love that shot of highspeed ring at 4:57 paired with the music, as someone who played gt1 heavily as a kid, this hit my nostalgia hard lol so epic!
The shot at 2:40 where they were doing the traditional Le Mans start was also used in the US and European intro for GT2 but it's very brief and you have to really pay attention to see it.
I cried the whole way. Its absolutely beautiful. The sheer craftsmanship that went into this game is absolutely unparalleled. I just really wish I could play it.
@@saimir77 - not everyone can buy games on release or soon enough, y’know. I think they’re also referring on not being able play on the PS5 (which is sadly the case for the most of us).
