Until gt7 I hadn't played since prologue. It's such a great game with a ton of cars and it's ease of hopping into races wether online or not and now with the vr aspect it's tough to beat it. I'm blown away everytime I pop on the headset and go for a drive.
Love this. Im retired and just got PSVR2 and a rig and wheel. I dont consider it a game any more. Your racing awareness needs to be on another level. Theres blindspots, Other cars block your view of apexes totally when your amongst it, your only view behind you is often only side mirrors , sparks are right in your face and the sun and rain fill your lifesize windscreen. Racing online is so intense. You need to be a better "driver" than "gamer" to get good in VR too. Its a totally different thing.
I absolutely agree with all of this. It's a mind blowing experience. I've tried the online in vr a couple times and I'm not ready yet. 😅 I've recently gotten into autocross and track days irl. So honestly I feel like this is great practice. Great for picking up apexs and just the spacial awareness. @@kevtotha Beginners wheel - G29 with modded pedals and a GT Omega Titan. I only race in VR now. No PC, Only PS5. I got to B grade in GT7 after about 6 weeks and was put against A graders and I couldnt even keep up with last place. A humbling experience it was indeed. And now Im hovering between C and B. Its so addictive just lapping solo to get good quallies. I always keep an S safety rating too. Cheers. Love your vids and hope you grow.

I still have a c grade even with the non vr 😅 but I only have like 30 or so races under my belt and I like starting from the back to practice clean passing... well attempting lol. The immersion is next level and honestly after playing it in vr, there is no other way to play imo, it also made me a faster driver too its a fantastic experience
It really is. It's mind blowing how good it is. So you picked up the vr2 as well? If so, do you use the supplied ear buds or do you use another set of headphones?
I use the supplied head phones they are actually quite amazing. I have the playstation platinum headphones that have performed very well for me since I got the PS4 and my rig for GT Sport. Although I've never been a huge fan of ear buds the ones that came with the VR2 have amazing sound was very surprised at how much better the engine sound was with them. To be fair, I don't think I have tried the VR with my old headset, but, doubt they are going to change much since its still the same headset. Give em a try
I was waiting for the sea sickness to kick in for you. Right when you said I feel something there I knew exactly what it was and when the I dont like it I dont like it started I felt your pain.
I had to limit myself to about 30 minutes at a time for the first few times. After that it's gotten better. I can now host my lobbies on Friday nights like normal and wear the VR through the whole night. Biggest problem I have with the VR, and it is a small one, is that I can only drink beer from bottles unless I use a very long straw in a can. Lol
@@angels_fan_1458 hell yeah! I'll try them out next time i play, just gonna have to bring out the boom mic if i record. Just wasn't sure how well they would perform. But with that vote of confidence I'm not worried anymore about them. Sorry to be asking a million questions but Are the platinums worth the money?
Just imagine when GT8 comes out and they hopefully fix the single player progression and car collection part of the game to make it more like how GT4 was, and also reintroduce some of the classic tracks into the game, as well as some old cars that we missed this game. That might be a true 10/10 game.

Because it's a fad and fads come and go. Kinda like with 3d gaming, it was cool and had some pretty decent support but not a major market for it so it went away. Who knows, I may be dead wrong and that being, its just an assumption. I really hope it doesn't go anywhere but when companies have to go the extra mile for not much payoff, it really doesn't make sense for them to "waste" money on it.

This is the one game that justifies PSVR2's existence. It's astonishing. And this video will not be able to get across what it's like to be able to inspect the car models in VR; the car models are unbelievable already, but in VR you can recognise the different paint textures the kinds of surfaces, the way light plays on different kinds of metal, the ridiculous detail on the lights on modern supercars...which themselves have more detail than entire cars in other games - it's absolutely mindboggling. That's the VR showroom, and anyone who's into cars should get to try it, because it's almost as cool as racing in VR. You get an immediate sense of the car's proportions, the interior is so reflective and flawlessly rendered, you can inspect the detail to such a p*rny level...there Skyline silhouette's badge has something like three separate layers, so when you're looking at it side on you can see it project from the car like a compressed layer cake. The racing is incredible, you're locked into cockpit and it sounds phenomenal and looks incredible too. But the VR showroom is the really underrated, jaw dropping part.
Mate I'm getting vr2 after the summer when I can be bothered buying it and it's going to be good during winter months, I hope I am as pleased as this guy.

@@kevtotha ha ha same here, but I still use it for dirt rall 2.0 and acc. I only have budget logitec g923 wheel and pedals with racing seat and frame, but love it. I might invest in a direct drive wheel in the near future.
Nothing wrong with a 923. I was using one of those for the longest time and if I'm honest, I wish I went DD when I upgraded. The tgt-2 is a nice wheel but I've heard DD wheels are just sooo much better. Maybe an upgrade in my near future as well.
Notice at about 13:45 that the wind sound starts because you come out from behind the car in front of you. Having an audio cue for if you're slipstreaming or not is pretty damn sick. I think I need a PS5.

I’m looking to get VR soon and a wheel. I was more of a Forza fan but this latest entry has disappointed me and pushed me back to GT7. I think VR will change my outlook on racing games
So a year has past by. I got a the playseat trophy T-GT and Load Cell pedals and finally the vr2. After a year i drive nearlly every day. it was a joy to await the new trax every week to drive races with others. But without the the globular cluster makes the vr2 not so much fun. To much pressure after 30mins.But i love GT7 in VR! This game hove 1meter over all over games.
How do you like that tgt2. I wanna go up to it from t300 everyone keeps saying direct drive but i really like thrustmaster and only play gt7 so far until computer.
I like it but honestly wish I went dd but it's a nice wheel. Pedals are meh tho. Had to upgrade the pedals tho because the ones that came with it are garb.

I got to get psvr2 it looks so good I got quest 2 and love it I use it on pc mostly it’s an absolute bargain with the capability’s it has. I had to hard pass on psvr1 it was the first vr headset I tried and yikes did it ever suck it completely ruined my view on vr as a whole the displays in it are absolute garbage but I took a gamble on quest 2 I thought I was gonna be let down but low and behold I was highly impressed and im glad I bought it racing games on pc are the tits incredible fun is hard in vr racing titles especially Assetto Corsa
I definitely recommend PSVR2 if you enjoy the quest. The graphics are incredible and it just adds so much to the game which you probably already know since you've played AC. It almost made it a brand new game for me. I haven't tried AC yet but want to. I've heard the PSVR1 isn't even comparable to PSVR2 which I can see since the 2 uses oled. I really appreciate the comment and the insight into your experiences.
Yep.blown away my first time.i could never get the visuals just right tho.was allways a bit blurry.i tried everything and the kayack game was the same.ended up selling but kinda wish i still had it and ps5.on series x now and switch oled.maybe il try it again someday tho ?
Yeah, I get the blurriness every so often but hasn't been too bad in GT7. I played Horizon and felt like the blurriness was worse in that game. Could've just been me being afraid of heights tho. lol But yeah, hope you can get back into it so you can at least have the novelty of it available when you want to get really immersed. I think it's more about proper alignment. I get some blurriness when the headset starts to sink down on me but once I move it back up it goes away. It def took me a little bit to get it setup 100% for my crooked face. 😅
I suggest looking at the car interior when you’re stationary in a time trial or something and then you can look at the backseat if you like. And the GT-R, not a brake problem but it’s a road car on road tyres not racing slicks so just be less FULL ON 😂. I had VR on PS4 GT Sport and try driving the Chaparral Laser, a Super Formula and some classic cars like that E Type Jag, but you have to do that with a stick shift and clutch no paddles. Try turning your head around and looking through the rear window and reverse around a track, like you do in your real car!

Preciate you. If I had to venture a guess, I would say I'm around $3k all in. That's pc setup, console and sim rig. But i did build my pc when parts prices were ridiculous so you can probably do it for a bit cheaper now, unless you buy a sim rig. @@kevtotha That's really cool Kevin. This may sound silly, but I'm 58 and REALLY want to create what you have. I priced the ps5, vfr, and some decent controls as in foot pedals and steering wheel. It came to about $1,400 for just that. I know how to wire feed weld as I have done it over the years building muscle cars like my 69 GTO that my wife and I are building for daily driving and autocross. Hell yeah man! I actually repurposed a metal shipping pallet I received my lawn mower on. lol Sick car btw! I do autocross and track days as well. Started this year and it's been the best decision of my life. I actually put that footage up on my other channel. 😁 For sure without the pc you can get a dope setup for under or right around $1500. Yeah, I used to harp on that too but it honestly doesn't bother me anymore because i don't see damage physics adding much to the game other than maybe taking the trolls out of online play, that is if it wasnt just for looks and it actually affected aerodynamics and the way the car drives. But hey, you can kind of scratch the cars so that's something 😅
Yeah yeah yeah... Very beautiful in screenshot, but in the headset the resolution is VERY disapointing. And I own one I know what i'm talking about. It is indeed very immersive, not doubt about it, but the image quailty is SOOOO under what you can see in this video. Just keep this in mind. This is a false advertising about quality and resolution. However, it is still VERY cool and entertaining, and yeah, the immersion is crazy.
Yeah it's not the best but it's still fun and a great getaway from real life. And I will say, I didn't alter the video in any way to make it look better. It's straight from the Ps5 to my capture card.
I have a basic gear FF Logitech wheel. I was not sure should I save money and buy a DD wheel or buy the PSVR2... lately I think more and more of buying the VR
The VR is awesome but honestly don't know which I would get first. The DD would be a huge upgrade but the VR makes it feel like a new game. I don't think you'd be disappointed with either. But good luck with your decision and thanks for the comment!
I got motion sickness a little bit when I first started playing it but my brain got used to it after a while. Hope it gets better for you so you can actually enjoy the game.
so why it it on your Monitor/tv and youre also wearing the headset? and how the heck are u filming this, do u have a Camera inside your headset filming the tiny screen?
i use it with glasses and its not a problem. FIts no problem into the headset. Wihout glasses of course you can bring the visor more near to your eyes and you get more field of view. Its just awesome experience
Best way to experience this is with a Logitech g pro DD with psvr2 and a dof reality p3 motion simulator (wish i could have gotten the p6) but little bit too much money ill upgrade eventually but I'm telling you it is absolutely amazing!

too bad PSVR did not get the support it deserved, because this game still blows me away today in VR. i hope they'll at least do a proper PS5 pro patch to bring it to native 90hz an no reprojection which blurs graphics a bit.
I gotcha, I'll be honest tho. I haven't noticed much difference in clarity since launch. But also saying that I never really experienced any issues with blurriness or anything. Just when I spin out at high speed and I get a bit loopy. 😅
They really do which is fairly disappointing. But hey, at least they did something about the tire squeal thru every corner that was in the first couple games 😅

I bought the PSVR 2 and i have to admit : the image quality you see in flat screen is way way better than the image you actually see in the headset, i'm so disapointed
Dang man, I'm sorry to hear that. But I will admit the psvr2 absolutely gets destroyed by my oled as well but I just really enjoy being able to look around freely so I'm willing to deal with it.
Very nice@@kevtotha The only thing is letdown ifor VR2 is that you can't record 4k content on PS5. Also, the enviroment resolution seems less good in VR due to 120 hz I find that 120 hz mode texure is somehwat similar to VR2 quality but when it was in vr showroom, every thing looks so clear
Yeah, I completely agree and there are def better vr experiences out there but at the price point I can deal with the eye tracking trickery ps uses. It def hurts the recording tho having the super pixelated areas where I'm not looking which kinda sucks. I appreciate all the info and feedback tho.
@@kevtotha I personally am willing to pay up to 1200 dollars for better quality for VR2 pro if SONY is going to sell it anyway. 5K with better lens is essential, the huge let down part for VR2 is the lens, the sweetsopot is too smalland narrow, the edge part is too bluury due to deformation. I wish they could provide a update or premium version of VR2 solving these problems.

If you're talking about daily races and stuff, you absolutely can use it. I haven't tried it in private or user created lobbies so I can't speak to that but I would assume you could use it for those as well.
