Bringing back the Eiger is a solid choice. It really is an exceptional track for those who enjoy hairpin bends and large changes in elevation. Personally, I love this track!
@@naffantait Pfffft Bring back Hong Kong! Citta Di Aria! Monaco! That Rally stage with the fans running out in front of your car!!!! Heck bring back 80's themed tracks variations etc!!! Im sure theyre considering it but obviously time and resources and the slow burn and drip...... London i can imagine will be multiple routes as well, just too many great legacy tracks from PD, missing definitely the multi surface tracks! Paris track! I can imagine newer epic tracks as well! Didnt we hear about Isle of Man was being scanned waaaaaaaay back before GT6!!!!! I remember being on the forums when Isle of Man locals spotted PD guys scanning and that was when they were scanning the Alfa Romeo touring car that didnt appear till 2 games or generations of consoles later!!! Once PD gets to about 2000 cars LOL i can see PD slowly introducing Bikes!!!! it just makes sense! obviously Isle of Man would be a tent pole track for Bikes so who knows when that will come GT9!!?? PS6 Pro!!!??? Heck where the heck is Pikes Peak!!!?? Again we were happy PD had the license but theyve obviously couldnt just slap it in there..... I guarantee Monaco or whatever its called when they drop it in GT will be glorious!!!! The city tracks returning will be amazing! And so customisable with themed national holidays or what not just like Nurb when its a 24hr overnight party etc, imagine the people lining the tracks!
Professional gt7 driver I. Fraga confirmed on discord the new physics changes a lot in the game, including FFB and tyre damage. They are already playing using the new physics in the world championship.
@@Webzterr Gran Turismo 2 had qualifying for Championships. Most of the single event races didn't. But the each Championship series had a skippable practice session that set the grid for the race. I can't recall if they were called a Qualy session or not. I just remember starting every Championship races on pole, cause I always set the quickest time in practice.
@@Markbell73 oh wow. Great to know thanks. When I had GT2, I used to play multiplayer on split screen for the most part with my friends so I totally overlooked this.
6 new cars, 1 new track, new tyres (!) and physics. Finally an update that you can really look forward to.Definitely the right step to keep the over 2 year old game alive. Very well done 👍
Apparently, punctures are a thing now... have seen Guy Barbara say that after he spun in nations, he had a puncture and couldn't get back to the pits...
@capndallas4918 it should be as they are cross-platform. I don't think it is anything visual, but im guessing once you get to a certain point in the tyre life, the car becomes undriveable. From what else I have heard, the GTWS guys are likening the new physics to iRacing, the rear end comes around a lot on entry, brake bias has a pivotal role to play in how you drive the car. Great news all around!
@@kentarostory9961 The E36 M3 is definitely a proper choice! It’s about time! Finally an E36 in the Gran Turismo franchise! The *only* E36 we got so far, was a "Compact" version in GT2. That was pretty much 25 years ago… Never understood why Polyphony Digital never bothered to add a proper E36 to the franchise, like a 328i 4-door and a M3 Coupé for example. Could have done it in GT2 already…
Yeah, while not as memorable, the rally layouts were insane and I hope they bring them back. I think the NE layout had these insane runs up and down the mountainside including this one loooong and steep downhill into a sharp midspeed left hander with adverse camber. It was pure madness.
@@naffantait should do a set of 2-3 wheels per update, but that’s just nitpicking at this point. Hope they add the new 25’ GTR in MidNight Purple 3 to the real car paint.
I hope Eiger Nordwand comes with a 800pp daily farmer that pays at least 500k for a clean race 1st place. Also, we all know what comes with the update, right? Engine swaps ;)
Love that Colin Mcrae Subaru❤ Might be a really good 600pp tokyo grinder?? I hope the new physics are improved rally handling and surely there must be atleast 1 rally version of the new track.
I'm still watching, but I haven't seen anything about a VR update. I wish so that they would update the HUD. More info. More options on what to display and where.

Jesus! Cant wait for a ton of tracks to return! Seattle! if it ever comes back! Monaco! with the upgraded visuals and water and boats! Hong Kong!! not to mention the new tracks! Isle of man surely is a thing at PD! Heck China as a new location with tons of new mountains and bridges and infrastructure it can include... which actually would include Hong Kong / Macau's legendary track!!!! Oh man Monaco and Macau's track! together!!! Would be missing the the Bikes and the open wheelers!!! i always end up listing tracks lol 1 Monaco 2 Macau 3 Pikes Peak 4 Isle of Man......... as an entire island!!!!! They can deffo do this now! i mean as an entire island, matching that Isle of Man bike game with all the variations! But Isle of Man would be held back probably to coincide with Bikes being introduced as well as for GT8 / 9 / PS6 / Pro etc! imagine the graphics!!! PSVR 3 or whatever!!! Isle of man was rumoured like 15 yrs ago now!!!!?? before the release of GT6! Along with Alfa Romeo touring car people saw / knew was being scanned / heck Pikes Peak license PD has lol was also rumoured back around GT6 Actually saying all that Lotus disappeared after GT6 hoping it makes a come back pretty soon too! Want to recreate Lotus Turbo Challenge! Along with Barry Leitch theme tune!!!!!
ALL the tracks will return! Its just a matter of time and resources! It always has been! Probably not Grindelwald though XDDDDD I'd love PD to surprise us with Grindelwald!!! Oh and Isle of Man would be a huge statement track, entire island with multiple layouts for sure! BUUUT i can see Isle of Man if it is a course theyre considering be a GT8 / GT9 / PS6 type hero track deal!
If you look at the American and Asia maps there's room for a few more tracks...... midfield would fit, as well as Apricot Hill since I believe it was in like Pennsylvania based on the trees and fall like aesthetics....
? I don't understand why you need pause the race to change anything in the vr Hud? Can you elaborate? I've been a vr player for almost a year and I've never had to pause the race for anything like that. I use G923 wheel and I just use the + or - buttons to switch through the HUD elements during a race.
i miss this from Gt5 and it would be a real nice option if they added car trading in the game , each show the car they are offering and each player confirms before the trade starts
Wow a Subaru Impreza WRC 1998, Ferrari 430 Scuderia 2007, BMW E36 M3 1997, Lamborghini Gallardo 2008 and new car RUF RGT 4.2 2016, was looks amazing i'm a big fan of impreza the cars looks very realistic! I'm so like it!
Wouldn't it be COOL if all these cars(& the cars in GT7 now of course) just be all included in GT8 when that comes out then they could just keep adding cars & cars without having to start all over again every Gen because the cars look perfect to me now(+ then all these cars go to say GT9 on PS6 etc etc) Then we could one day have every car ever made in a GT game(ok that is pushing it!) :D EXCELLENT update that :P (those Tyres look way expensive tho?!?!) :D
The pics for this track are going to be awesome. It is very welcome that this Icon of GT’s history is getting a return. Additionally while it is just a new 430 in the old GT games the Scuderia felt night and day with the standard and is the car that made me learn to love Ferrari.
Tbh that sounds too personally acclaimed for what you want. A sound fix most likely won't come you know that. There's already 1 C63 and a golf so no new ones yet.
We need more new Lamborghini's and Ferrari's because I want to be like the people in Dubai because they're my heroes and I used to be scared of them because they were terrorists but they're cool now and they're going to win and I want to show my loyalty so they don't hurt me because I'm broke and have no friends
Personally I love this update but I think they should add in more widebody kits and other body mods, allow for drivetrain swaps and allow for engine swaps for any car so it's not so limited. Another thing I think they should bring back is the track creator from GT6 I believe it was in (correct me if I'm wrong) but overall I'm definitely happy to see tracks and cars coming back, new cars coming with new features in the game and honestly would like to see more iconic modern cars coming in for both hyper cars and GR.3, obviously categories, would like some 90's and early 2000's cars but guess we can only wait and see
My thoughts: New(ish) track: Kinda disappointment but not terrible. Cars: Actually a great selection here. Looking mostly forward to the BMW, Subaru and RUF. New Physics. Have to try out. Sophie AI: Expansion to other tracks is welcome. Just wish it was more than a quick race setup. Wheels and Tires: Hopefully there will be more center locking ones. Selection is really limited right now. Those prices for the Michelin tires though. I'm pretty certain the prices are most likely based on the Japanese region of the game, but we'll see.
amazing.. I was dreaming a week ago about this track.. this might be one of my favorites... all layots and rally... And its something since I only like real world tracks.. this is Deep forest level of good!
Damn we coulnt get a 360 challenge. We already have a 430. But damn finally a gallardo and e36. Would love to see the e39 or e34 in the future. Maybe a ruf btr or yellowbird
AT 2:12 we see from the screen that the slicks now appear with michelin stickers. I wonder if tyre stickers will now be avaliable for road legal cars as well
Finally new wheels/rims.. Hope they include a bunch of retro wheels and rotiform like wheels.. would be great for old rally cars and classic Ferrari's etc.

Another really good update for GT7, Polyphony has been cooking good lately. Really happy to see the Gallardo, E36 and that New Ruf. Really curious what the new physics will do for the cars too.
I was reading about this update on GT World and there was mention about lap time changee also coming to license challenges. I hope they would revert them back to what they used to be. They tightened the noose on a few making them near impossible for most to ever get the achievement for getting gold in all the normal licenses anymore.
I think they're just adjusting them to match the new physics update. I had no problem doing all the normal licenses personally, it seems pretty lenient.
@@chewthegum when did you get gold in them? Doing the tests themselves aren't that difficult at all. I myself have completed all normal and super licenses. But you don't have to get gold in them all to get through them. But you do have to get gold in every normal license test if you want the trophy achievement. A year ago or even after launch that was much easier to achieve. Then after several updates they closed those times up and made them harder to get gold. If you got the trophy achievement after launch, then you got to keep it regardless of the lap time requirements changed a month later putting your time outside of getting gold. Not many people have been able to get this achievement since the updated times. That's just a fact. Less than 2.8% of GT7 players have been able to achieve it.
@@boosted0079 A little over two weeks ago I finished up all of the Super License tests with gold. The only one that gave me trouble was the one around Spa in the rain. Had to resort to cranking up TCS. Other than that, it all felt reasonably doable.
@@boosted0079 I can post a video on RU-vid of a dated GT7 lap replay and the dated PlayStation achievement if you really don't believe me. And I did it without a wheel, and while being a pretty average driver. I don't think they're that difficult.
now i need the Exaust tipps and how the lokk ETC to be moved to the GT Auto and Customs. getting tierd of Downgrading the Full Exaust just to have Twinn tipps and ore Blued Titanium xD ....
I’m not going to complain with free new tracks. But if I could choose, I’d pick El Capitan for a rallycross track. Hopefully there is a rallycross track layout for Group B races.
amazing update. there's such a legendary european car with such a legendary engine that i feel is missing, though: the e60 bmw m5 or m6... idk i just wanted to drive hearing that v10. it was also part of previous gt games.
Finally! A new track, and a new rally car (for me)! I currently have 45 million credits, so I hope I’ll reach 50 million before update 1.49 is released.
I am so looking forward to the RUF I wish they had more than this new one and the one we already have I wish we had all the ones we had in GT2 GT3 GT4 those cars are sick modded
i made platinum yesterday, dropped from A Driver to D for 59 races in onlinemod lol. on release we had great drivers and now awful sumo derby freaks along the way, but good to see Gallardo, Ferrari, BMW and all the others are insane nice ! I need money damn
the new track will be great for Sunday cruises 😊 let down again with their car choices though lol I need a 550 Maranello not a 430 😅 hope rest of the yr will bring funner cars for me
yea, i would really like to see the 550 Maranello show up in game... i'd love to have the GT1 spec racer in my paddock. the DBR9 is getting pretty lonely.
Finally, an update that manages to catch my attention. The last five updates were as dry as corn flakes, which is why I barely touched the game for so long (the only time I played extensively was with the March update, due to the Audi R8 V10 Plus and the Highspeed Etoile promotion.) The RUF is my personal standout, though. I really hope the CTR Anniversay comes to the game, as well as the newer SCR.
So Michelin is bringing their spooky black magic tires to Gran Turismo. This could mean your new tires will have twice the grip, and 3 stints worth of track time before tire deg. Why would PD allow this? The physics model probably includes all Sofie cars dropping spike strips from P1 all over the track.
The physics answer for PD has always been to make the tracks like ice rinks and call them more difficult. I've always had a problem with that because real tracks don't drive like that. Goodwood is ridiculous and I've done it IRL. We'll see how these physics changes play. And why can't we get all of the created tracks? It's not like they have to be laser-scanned. Just more code written.
