Welcome to Granada, Nicaragua where you’ll feel like you’re stepping into a tropical Spain.
The surrounding natural beauty has also inspired artists, poets, and writers well before the Spanish founded it in 1524. Combine these charming features with the relaxed air of the Nicaraguan people - one of the happiest in the world - and you have quite possibly the most laid-back and accessible city in Central America, fully imbued with color and culture.
Discover Lake Nicaragua and it's beautiful 365 Islands as well as the must see Laguna de Apoyo.
If you're wondering if Nicaragua is safe to visit, well, come along on the tour and we'll show you.

@@kristinevalbuena8203 hi Kristine, people with passports from the Philippines can get a visa on arrival in Nicaragua. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months, you need proof of onward travel (e.g. a plane ticket) and you need proof of accommodation (e.g. Booking confirmation). Have a great trip!

Exceptional video (and I watched the whole thing!) Very informative and honest in the sense that you truly enjoyed yourselves... I have been to Granada several times -- Been there by myself, with my close family from here in Miami, and with extended family from California and Europe... Every single time, I have a blast -- I feel safe, eat like food is going out of style, and I feel like a local... I have "graduated" to non-touristy restaurants and activities which were recommended by the locals. Granada exudes charm and I have yet to meet anyone from anywhere in the world who doesn't enjoy it! Cheers! ~ThatDocFromMiami

I loved this video because even though my husband and I won't be traveling with children, we like to get ideas about where to go and what to do around the world and we don't drink or stay out late. Thank you for this! Your kids are so sweet and not at all jaded like most North American kids. We just got back from Antigua, Guatemala, and one of our local guides said he loves Granada, Nicaragua because it's similar to Antigua but even less expensive. SO I got really excited when I found your video. We hope to go next winter.

I'm glad you and your girls had a nice fun trip in 🇳🇮 Nicaragua. I am not sure you went before , during or after the pandemic.? Unfortunately the " international media still picture 🇳🇮 of Nicaragua like a " dangerous place to visit. They think Nicaragua still at war like in the 70s and 80s years. That's a really misconception for " ignorant people who don't read or don't know anything about " Geography and History". Besides " dangerous places are everywhere in the 🌎 world even in the 🇺🇸 USA just go to New York, Los Angeles , Chicago, Texas, California, Arizona, Baltimore ect and you'll see how much crimes are in those cities and states. Also costa rica is a country who " hates 🇳🇮 Nicaragua and they talk bad about our country. But if you visit costa rica you'll see how much crime and" drug activities with the " drug cartels from 🇨🇴 colombia and 🇲🇽 Mexico ". Prostitution and crime is very high in costa rica than any other country in Central America. Costarricans discriminate 🇳🇮 nicaraguans because they come to look for work jobs in their country. They hate us because they want our territory land, customs, gastronomy, culture etc. They are very jealous and envy people. 🇳🇮 in the 50s 60s and part of 70s Nicaragua had one of the best economy and development in Central America and Latin America we were called the " Sweden of central America. But civil wars and natural disasters among " traitors and corrupted government brought down the country in huge poverty and misery. 🇺🇸 USA and 🇷🇺 Russia are to blame because of the support of sandinistas and contras in the 80s civil war during the " cold war' now the clashing between these two nations is near. They should have not done that to 🇳🇮 Nicaragua. God is just.

It made me laugh when you noticed that people wear pants. I lived in Nicaragua for years, not in the tourist areas, but literally with the people. It was always funny to see tourists out and about because they would always wear shorts and stand out like a sore thumb. Nicaragua’s wears ironed pants or skirts when they go out, definitely not shorts. When I lived there I think I had one pair of shorts for playing basketball and stuff, otherwise I was always in pants. Thanks for the videos about Nicaragua. We too homeschool but I’ve never had a chance to bring my wife and kids. Your video’s inspire me to make it happen.

Nah...not sure they really even noticed me. 😂😂When you have kids people don't really bother to pay any attention.

@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders haha well, this Nicaraguan guy noticed! You're really pretty! BTW great video, I visited Nicaragua for the first time recently (I grew up in Canada) and Grenada was the city I stayed in the most. Though I think the locals may have offered better prices to you on some things. 😅 For the horse carriage ride, I was quoted $10.

Yeah, there was no violence when we were there. Not to say they didn't recently have terrible trouble but we went when thing had calmed down. It did scare off many tourists including ourselves until we arrived and discovered that it was totally fine.

1st, I LOVE the depth of your videos! 2nd, I love you're having a safe experience. (I am not sure it should be portrayed so safe...) 3rd, I am so thankful for your courage to go with your girls. I'm watching from Hernando, Mississippi!

This was a great video ! I am watching for my 2nd time in Los Angeles ( I' m Japanese ) ! I usually don't watch a long video if more than 25 ,30 minutes ! Lol Sorry you have 3 daughters ! They're all pretty !! I love coconut 🥥 water 💧!! 😋 Too bad one of your daughters didn't like it after all ! But,hi 5 to her she tried it after having a bad experience with coconut water in a can ! I hope those horses were taken good care of ! A lot horse carriage business don't !! I have personally seen some in my life !! I rode one ,or two & completely stopped doing that ! They are over exhausted from overworking & not given enough water or foods !! Not to mention , over heat exhaustion !! Even donkey rides ,one time ,a while ago ,there was a news of one overweight lady tourist rode a donkey in a foreign country & that caused ripping the poor donkeys back !! I really hope that donkey lived fine afterwards the horrific abuse !! Nicaragua is beautiful ,I didn't know ! Thank you so much for this upload !! 👍 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇳🇮💞 Ohh ! I really hope that poor doggie was/ is fine !! I wonder if he/ she was stray ,or not . Broken leg ,or arm, even finger can be very very dangerous, sometimes cause amputation, or even sepsis that leads to death !! Not to mention,ut's very painful !! 😢 🐕

Its slippery! Its slippery! Someone isnt keeping up on the pool chlorine schedule.. slippery usually means bacteria and algae growth on the pool walls and floor.
