To think that it was possible that Spain and Portugal could have been Muslim if the Moors were not driven out at the right time. Else, like other countries, like all. of Persia, Indonesia, North Africa etc all became Muslim. Like in Persian, all art with any imagery would have been destroyed. Persia was once a great civilization with many architectural buildings etc that was a few thousands years old that was destroyed to welcome the new religion that was free of any kind of imagery. Just like the thousands old Buddhist statues in the caves of Afghanistan that were blown up by the Taliban. Or when ISIS attacked the archeological sites in Iraq and blew them up as they comtained imagery.
